Wempe has launched au:thentic, a gender-inclusive jewelry collection designed by creative director Patrick Sieroslawski, with individual pieces priced from $2,595 to $28,375. Yahoo [reported](https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/articles/wempe-jewelry-collection-celebrates-art-140000274.html) the launch on November 1. The Hamburg-based retailer plans three additional chapters of the collection over the next two years.

## Inside Wempe's au:thentic Jump-Ring Collection

The collection's defining element is the jump ring, a basic jewelry component made by winding wire into a coil and cutting it into individual rings. Sieroslawski said the shape traces back to his apprenticeship. "The first thing I learned at the goldsmithing bench 24 years ago was how to make jump rings," he said at a dinner in New York on October 27 marking the launch.

Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings and pendants come in 18k yellow, white and rose gold, and select designs are offered with or without diamonds. The name combines the Greek word authentikós, meaning genuine or original, with Au, the chemical symbol for gold. Sieroslawski joined Wempe in 2024 after seven years as a senior designer at Tiffany & Co. In New York, and au:thentic is the first collection to carry his name. "In the past I've done some really beautiful pieces of jewelry, but I'm really proud of this because it's the first thing I placed my name on," he said.

Kim-Eva Wempe, the fourth-generation head of the family-owned business, described the line as a new chapter for the retailer. "Every detail has been carefully considered, and the result is a collection that honors our heritage while introducing a contemporary design language that will resonate with a new generation of clients," she said. Wempe has held a 50% stake in the A.C. Köhler Atelier jewelry workshop in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, since 2007.

The collection appeared publicly at the Met Gala in May, when actress Keke Palmer wore a one-of-a-kind au:thentic necklace with more than 1,200 diamonds weighing 211 carats, set in 257 grams of 18k rose gold. According to Wempe, the collar-style piece took more than 300 hours to create. The first phase debuted at an event in Berlin in June, followed by a second release in October; the first explores the open-ended spiral of the jump ring, while the second introduces closed forms.
