CarParts.com launched CarParts+ Rewards, its first points-based loyalty program, on October 13, with a free tier and a $79-per-year Gold tier, after a September soft launch that enrolled 200,000 members. CEO David Meniane disclosed the enrollment figure on the October 29 third quarter earnings call, PYMNTS.com reported.
How CarParts+ Rewards Tiers Work
CarParts built the free CarParts+ tier so customers earn a point for each dollar spent, including taxes and shipping, and redeem them through an experience built natively into the checkout flow, according to an October 13 press release announcing the launch. The paid CarParts+ Gold tier at $79 per year offers 3x points, roadside assistance, free shipping on eligible parts, extended 60-day returns and VIP priority support.
Meniane said the program is part of a shift "from defense to offense" after the company largely completed its restructuring. "Beyond enrollment, we are deepening customer engagement, increasing repeat purchases and growing customer lifetime value while improving the efficiency of our marketing investments over time," he said on the call.
CarParts also announced on October 27 that it added Klarna's full suite of flexible payment options, including Pay in full, splitting a purchase into four interest-free payments with Pay in 4 and spreading the cost over time with Pay over time. "It gives our customer greater payment flexibility, particularly when facing unexpected repair expenses, while also creating opportunities to improve conversion and average order value," Meniane said. Klarna has also added its buy now pay later option to easyShop checkouts across 19 European markets, Retail Technology Innovation Hub reported.
CarParts' Earlier Card and Marketplace Moves
According to akta.pro company records, CarParts launched the CarParts.com Mastercard nationwide in April 2026 with Mastercard and serviced by Concora Credit, offering 3% cashback on CarParts.com purchases and 1% on all other purchases. The same records show a March 2026 co-branded JC Whitney product line of approximately 30,000 SKUs with A-Premium, funded by an $8 million private placement of 10 million shares at $0.80, with the partnership approaching $45 million in annualized run-rate revenue.
Klarna Deal and Marketplace Plans Before the Launch
CarParts added Klarna's full suite of payment options to its eCommerce site on October 27, including Pay in full, Pay in 4 and Pay over time, PYMNTS.com reported. Klarna's network includes 1.2 million retailers and 3.8 million daily transactions, according to that report. On October 22, EIN Presswire reported that CarParts will launch CarParts Connect, an automotive and auto-adjacent ecommerce marketplace powered by Mirakl, in December 2026.
