Cold-rolled coil had been priced at around Rs. 208,450 per ton, so the new rate is a reduction of roughly 2.9 percent. Hot-dip galvanized coil was earlier at about Rs. 199,800 per ton, a cut of around 4 percent. M. Waqas Ghani, CFA, of JS Research shared the update based on the brokerage's channel checks.

CRC and HDGC are raw materials for a wide range of everyday products. CRC goes into home appliances, car parts and steel furniture, while galvanized coil is used in roofing sheets, construction materials and appliance bodies. A buyer of 10 tons of HDGC, such as a roofing sheet or appliance maker, will now save about Rs. 80,000 per order, while the same quantity of CRC costs around Rs. 60,000 less.
