Once Upon a Farm is voluntarily recalling its Tractor Wheels soft-baked bars over a potential choking hazard for toddlers ages 1.5 to 2.5, the company said in a Business Wire announcement. The recall follows three consumer complaints and covers products distributed nationwide. Once Upon a Farm is a publicly traded organic baby and children's food company founded in 2015 and headquartered in Berkeley, selling refrigerated pouches, frozen meals and snacks through subscriptions, retail coolers and WIC programs.
Which Tractor Wheels Bars Are Recalled
The recall covers three varieties: Apple, Sweet Potato, & Spinach; Strawberry, Pumpkin, & Beet; and Banana, Pumpkin & Cauliflower. The bars reached consumers through the internet and through distribution centers and retail stores in 44 states and Puerto Rico, with Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California and Colorado among the listed markets. No other Once Upon a Farm products are affected.
Once Upon a Farm said it is working with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to remove affected products and give families the information they need. Consumers who bought the bars should not open the package or use the contents, and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact [email protected]. The company also said it is reformulating the line.
"We know that parents place their trust in us every time they buy one of our products," the company said. "We fell short of that, and that is why we are taking these aggressive actions."
Once Upon a Farm's Scale At The Time Of Recall
According to akta.pro company records, Once Upon a Farm priced its February 2026 IPO at $18 per share for a $724 million valuation, and its market capitalisation reached approximately $845 million on its first day of trading. Its products sit in more than 22,000 retail locations nationwide.

In September 2026, Inc. reported that co-founder Jennifer Garner visited Saskatchewan to see the company's organic oats and pollinator fields, and that the company had celebrated its $724 million IPO earlier in the year.
Reformulation Plans
Once Upon a Farm said it is reformulating Tractor Wheels and is working with the FDA on removing affected products. The company directed consumers to return the bars to the place of purchase for a full refund or to contact [email protected].
