Nichols is currently executive vice president and oversees lending and operations.\n\n## Nichols's Path From Teller to CEO\n\nNichols, a Lenawee County native, began working at [TLC Community Credit Union](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/000c3g3/tlc-community-credit-union) as a part-time teller in 2002, when the credit union had $197 million in assets and three branches. She has worked in member service, branch leadership, mortgage and operations during her 24 years at TLC.\n\nShe became manager of the Blissfield branch when it opened in 2009 and later became TLC's first designated mortgage loan officer. Nichols was promoted to vice president of mortgages in 2018, then served as vice president and senior vice president of operations, and was named executive vice president in 2022.\n\nTLC Board of Directors Chair Meredith Francis said in the announcement: \"Alycia knows this credit union, built a rapport with her team, and she knows the communities we serve because she's from them.\" Nichols said she was \"grateful to Jeff for the foundation I get to build on\" and that her focus will be on investing in the team and deepening member relationships.\n\nNichols earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Siena Heights University and graduated from CUNA Management School.
