Oppo is testing a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro version of the Find X10 Ultra with customized imaging algorithms, while a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 version is also in testing, according to a Weibo tipster cited by [GSMArena.com](https://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_find_x10_ultra_could_be_heading_for_a_chipset_switch-news-75271.php). Oppo has not made a final decision, the tipster said.

## Oppo's Two Chipset Options for the Ultra

The Dimensity 9600 Pro version is being tested with customized imaging algorithms, which GSMArena.com said would presumably serve Oppo's Lumo True Image Engine. The Find X9 Ultra launched in April with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, so a Qualcomm chip would be the expected choice for its successor.

In replies to his post, the tipster said a Snapdragon version of the Ultra is in testing too, presumably using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and that Oppo has not made up its mind. According to him, the Snapdragon option is very likely to be the one that ends up being chosen.

If Oppo goes with MediaTek, the Find X10 Ultra and Find X10 Pro Max would share the same chipset, and the cameras would be what sets the two apart. The Ultra allegedly gets a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.12-inch type sensor and LOFIC tech, a 200MP periscope telephoto, a 50MP periscope with 10x optical zoom, and a 100MP selfie camera with a square sensor.
