Picanol to Premiere AirOne Airjet Weaving Machine at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026

Picanol will premiere its AirOne airjet weaving machine at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026 in Shanghai from November 20-24, targeting basic woven fabric production. B2B Marketplace reported the launch. AirOne extends the Belgian manufacturer's airjet portfolio into the basic fabrics segment with a new crank shedding motion, low energy use, digital capabilities and ease of operation.

AirOne's Crank Shedding and Booth F01 Lineup

Picanol developed AirOne after market research, R&D work and field testing, according to the company's announcement. The machine carries a crank shed angle adjustment system, AirStream, EcoBoost, EcoWeft, WeavePilot and a crank automatic central lubrication system. Standard equipment includes the BlueBox electronic platform, BlueTouch display, SUMO drive concept and PicConnect connectivity.

At Booth F01 in Hall 3, three machines will run: AirOne weaving poplin, OmniPlus-i Connect weaving ladieswear fabrics and Supermax weaving denim. The booth will also present PicConnect, Picanol's centralized digital ecosystem, including new AI-powered applications for performance, efficiency and decision-making.

Five more Supermax machines will appear at partner booths across the exhibition, weaving saree, shoe and label fabrics. The AirOne-4-E 190 on display weaves poplin with a cotton warp of Nm 54/1 at 48 ends/cm and a polyester weft of 156f40 dtex at 31.5 picks/cm.

Picanol's Digital and Engineering Record

Picanol deepened its collaboration with Siemens in January 2026 to deploy the Xcelerator portfolio, including Designcenter NX, Teamcenter and Simcenter, and digital twin technology across its machine engineering, according to akta.pro company records. Subsidiary Psicontrol also adopted Teamcenter under the same partnership. The company opened a 20,000 sqm corporate headquarters in Ieper, Belgium, in April 2025, and it globally debuted the Supermax rapier weaving machine at ITMA ASIA + CITME in Shanghai in October 2024, aimed at Asian markets.
