[Gulf Today](https://www.gulftoday.ae/news/2026/10/29/dubai-health-earns-highest-rating-in-international-epic-gold-stars-program) reported the recognition, which was announced at Epic's UGM 2026 event in Wisconsin, USA. Dubai Health is an integrated academic health system in Dubai that runs hospitals and clinical services on Epic's electronic health record platform.\n\n## Dubai Health's Second Year at Epic Level 10\n\nLevel 10 is the highest distinction in Epic's Gold Star program, which recognises how effectively healthcare organisations configure and optimise their electronic health record systems. Dubai Health said the rating keeps it among only 5% of healthcare institutions worldwide to reach this level of system configuration. The organisation also achieved an 82% Epic Gold Star \"In Use\" score, which it attributed to adoption of advanced Epic capabilities across its clinical and operational teams.\n\n[Epic](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/0005ym8/epic) supplies the electronic health record system that healthcare organisations use to manage patient health information, coordinate care and support clinical and operational processes. More than 700 healthcare institutions worldwide use Epic, according to the report. Epic has also been expanding how its software connects with other systems: Healthcare IT News reported on October 21, 2026 that Epic introduced a developer capability allowing data to be imported from another application into a health system's EHR and letting the EHR complete tasks in other apps.\n\nAtif Albraiki, Chief Digital and AI Officer at Dubai Health, said: \"This recognition reflects our ongoing efforts to ensure that technology meaningfully supports our patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Earning Epic Gold Star Level 10 for the second year demonstrates how we optimize our digital ecosystem to enable safer, smarter, and more connected care.\" Dubai Health is expanding Epic capabilities including a patient app with daily schedules, medications and care-team communication, a Fast Pass feature that offers earlier appointments when cancellations occur, and Generative AI Summaries for clinicians reviewing medical history.\n\n## Cancer Hospital and Diabetes Center Progress\n\nDubai Health's board reviewed progress on the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital and a new Diabetes Center, scheduled to open in early 2027, EIN Presswire reported on October 16, 2026. The board also signed a housing services agreement with MBRHE to streamline access for employees. On July 10, 2026, Dubai Health and Rush University System for Health signed a strategic collaboration agreement to draw on their respective expertise and resources for improved patient outcomes and continuous learning, Aijourn reported.\n\n## Epic Connectors Set for March 2027\n\nEpic launched Connectors, which let its AI agents access and act in third-party apps, using the Model Context Protocol as the standard, FierceHealthcare reported on October 20, 2026. Developers' connectors will be available on Epic Showroom starting March 2027.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
