The company expects to spend more than $2 billion through yearend 2027, [OGJ](https://www.ogj.com/members/news/55415065/tecpetrol-targets-up-to-130000-b-d-of-oil-production-in-vaca-muerta-by-203032) reported on October 28, 2026.\n\n## Inside Tecpetrol's Los Toldos II Este Ramp-Up\n\nLos Toldos II Este has 20 producing wells and is expected to reach about 6,000 b/d in November or December 2026, said Martín Bengochea, vice-president, Neuquén basin and Vaca Muerta. Three drilling rigs are working in the block while wells are completed alongside construction of surface infrastructure. Production growth is expected to accelerate from March 2027, when the first 35,000-b/d oil treatment module enters service, with a second module of equal capacity added midyear. Bengochea said the company expects to reach 70,000 b/d in the following months and sustain that level.\n\nThe block covers 78 sq km, and its long-term development program comprises 380 wells. Tecpetrol is developing four Vaca Muerta landing zones at once, sequencing drilling to limit the need for child wells between existing wells later. The design draws on experience at Fortín de Piedra in well spacing, development sequencing and hydraulic stimulation, adjusted for the geology and production performance of Los Toldos II Este. The completion campaign includes a Tenaris hydraulic fracturing fleet with 28 pumps using dynamic gas blending technology, which replaces part of the diesel fuel with natural gas.\n\nInfrastructure includes an oil pipeline from the central processing plant to Auca Mahuida and a gas pipeline connecting to Vaca Muerta Norte. [Techint](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/005fkc8/techint-compania-tecnica-internacional-s-a-c-i) Engineering & Construction is building the infrastructure, along with the processing plant and a water pipeline from the Colorado River. The $6.4-billion development was admitted to Argentina's Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI). Markous said the company is prioritizing low-cost modules to keep the project viable under lower oil-price scenarios, citing a futures curve indicating about $71/bbl by yearend 2030.\n\n## Serica and Panoro Drilling Plans Elsewhere\n\nSerica Energy settled the well sequence for its Bruce Field campaign in the UK northern North Sea, aiming to start drilling next summer with first production within 12 months and to add up to 30,000 boe/d, [EIN Presswire](https://www.einnews.com/article/951041946/live) reported on October 20, 2026. Panoro Energy's Dussafu joint venture in Gabon drilled two appraisal wells finding 16m and 30m oil columns in Gamba sands, with a fifth production well expected onstream early 2027 to restore Dussafu capacity to 40,000 bopd, [news.cision.com](https://news.cision.com/panoro-energy-asa/r/panoro-energy---successful-dussafu-appraisal-wells,c4409036) reported on October 15, 2026.\n\n## Tecpetrol's Next Steps at Puesto Parada and Fortín de Piedra\n\nAt Puesto Parada, Tecpetrol aims to double production to 12,000 b/d. At Fortín de Piedra, the company is evaluating an increase in liquids output to 20,000 b/d from about 10,000 b/d, and it continues to invest $300–350 million a year there to sustain winter peaks of about 24 million cu m/day. Tecpetrol estimates its gas production could rise to 30–35 MMcmd from about 25 million cu m/day as the oil expansion increases associated gas supply.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
