[SiliconANGLE](https://siliconangle.com/2026/10/27/red-hat-openclaw-agents-kubeconna/) reported the collaboration, in which agents run in isolated sandbox environments and their access to sensitive information is monitored.\n\n## How Red Hat Plans to Sandbox OpenClaw Agents\n\nThe architecture puts agents inside isolated sandbox environments so their access to potentially vulnerable information can be watched and secured. Red Hat and [NVIDIA](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/000000q/nvidia) intend OpenClaw agents and OpenShell's architecture to work together in enterprise AI environments.\n\nPete Cheslock, principal AI community architect at Red Hat, described the questions enterprises began asking as OpenClaw spread. \"OpenClaw came out with a bang,\" he said. \"This autonomous agent that can just do everything — it was really shocking to see the ecosystem and the community expand around it. As people started to dive into it … you start to ask the questions that everyone should be asking, especially enterprise, which is, what can this access and what can it do? That's where tools like OpenShell started answering some hard questions.\"\n\nCheslock said OpenShell's community is new but growing quickly, with contributors from a range of companies. The runtime builds on core Kubernetes special interest groups, including an agent sandbox, so agents can be deployed securely through Kubernetes native APIs. Engineers deploying the agents still face new material to learn, he said, but they do not have to learn the APIs to deploy them.\n\nStu Miniman, senior director of market insights for hybrid platforms at Red Hat, said security, trust and compliance come first. \"We're trying to make sure that customers can feel secure and understand and use these tools,\" he said. \"That's front and center.\"\n\n## Red Hat's Recent Open-Source and AI Moves\n\nOn October 22, Red Hat opened an APAC AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board, to help organizations move AI workflows into production, CXOToday.com reported. On October 21, LTM said it would collaborate with IBM and Red Hat on Lightwell, an AI-driven approach to remediating open-source software vulnerabilities, according to AETOSWire. On October 18, Red Hat and Ferrous Systems announced a collaboration to integrate Ferrocene, a safety-qualified Rust toolchain, with Red Hat In-Vehicle Operating System, The Fast Mode reported.\n\n## OpenShell Work Across the Sector\n\nNVIDIA and Anthropic announced a collaboration on October 21 to integrate OpenShell with Anthropic's Claude Managed Agents, restricting agent access to files, tools and networks, [Crypto Briefing](https://cryptobriefing.com/nvidia-and-anthropic-partner-to-enhance-ai-security-with-openshell-integration/) reported. At Okta's Oktane event, covered by [SiliconANGLE](https://siliconangle.com/2026/10/23/ai-agent-governance-takes-shape-oktas-oktane-event-oktane/) on October 24, executives and partners discussed shared architecture and runtime controls for AI agent governance. Absolute Security said on October 21 that it would embed firmware-level security and resilience into the NVIDIA DGX Station AI supercomputer for OEMs, [Business Wire Blog](https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20261021332296/en/Absolute-Security-Integrates-Autonomous-Cyber-Resilience-into-the-NVIDIA-DGX-Station-AI-Supercomputer) reported.\n\n## OpenShift Commons Gathering on November 9\n\nRed Hat will host an OpenShift Commons Gathering on November 9, where open-source practitioners can hear from leaders in the field. Miniman said the event will include financial services companies and companies working on AI, virtualization and cloud-native pieces, along with two Red Hat general managers.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
