Figure Technology Solutions' small-business financing business surpassed $500 million in annualized volume in September, after the company funded more than $50 million in small-business loans that month. [HousingWire](https://www.housingwire.com/articles/figure-small-business-financing-500m/) reported the figure, which the company announced last week.

## Figure's Home Equity Lending for Business Owners

Figure funded $135 million in small-business loans in the third quarter of 2026. The company launched the business in June 2025, extending its blockchain-based lending infrastructure to entrepreneurs, and has facilitated more than $30 billion in loans in total, including home equity lines of credit.

The product lets business owners borrow against home equity. Figure underwrites and sells the loans through the same process as its other HELOCs, which the company says helps maintain credit quality and support liquidity in the secondary market. Borrowers can access up to $750,000 with repayment terms of up to 30 years, and Figure offers approval in as little as five minutes and funding in as few as five days.

CEO Michael Tannenbaum told HousingWire that growth reflects rising business formation, higher interest rates and demand for faster, lower-cost financing. "Borrowing against your house is going to be the most cost effective way to borrow because you have a longer loan," Tannenbaum said. Figure cited U.S. Census Bureau data showing roughly 27 million business applications from 2021 through 2025, about 53% more than the 17.6 million filed in the previous five years.

Figure has built a network of more than 150 brokers, lenders and fintech partners since launch, and partners can offer the financing under their own brands. Tannenbaum said the company's funded volume would place it among the top 25 SBA lenders if measured against the agency's published rankings, a benchmark Figure said does not mean it originates SBA loans. "If you have home equity, this is going to be a cheaper and better solution for you, and it's going to be faster and easier," he said.

## Figure's Third-Quarter Lending Volume

Figure reported third-quarter 2026 consumer loan marketplace volume of $5.1 billion, up 20% from the prior quarter and 107% year-over-year, within its guidance range of $4.8 billion to $5.2 billion, Investing.com reported. September volume was $1.8 billion. Seeking Alpha reported Q2 sales of $225.6 million, up 95% year-over-year, and that the company acquired Kiavi for $717 million, adding residential transition lending.

## Figure's Next Steps

Figure distributes the product through business-loan brokers, lenders and fintech companies rather than primarily through traditional mortgage loan officers. The company's [website](https://figure.com) describes its lending platform.
