Articul8 introduced Bivia, a multi-modal decision model for enterprise AI agents, on October 28, 2026, offering it through an API as a standalone product or as part of its enterprise AI platform. The Santa Clara company announced the launch via GlobeNewswire.
How Bivia Handles Enterprise Decisions
Bivia processes text, documents, images, video, audio and raw sensor signals through a shared model architecture rather than a pipeline of separate models. It returns structured answers through eight native decision primitives: decide, yes/no, choose, score, select all, quote the source, find the region and extract the field. Responses can point to supporting regions in images, exact text passages and character offsets in documents, and timestamps in video. Each answer carries a confidence score, and the model can abstain when evidence is insufficient.
In a live demonstration, Bivia processed every frame of a 52-minute, 4K documentary filmed from the International Space Station in a single request, turning the footage into a searchable index. Dr. Arun Subramaniyan, Founder and CEO of Articul8, said: "Everyone's models can caption a thumbnail. Bivia watches the entire thing and tells you the three seconds that matter, with the receipts."
In Articul8's internal testing, Bivia achieved 100% accuracy on selected energy and hardware design (Verilog) tasks after being trained on domain-specific data. The company described these as in-distribution results. In internal workflow completion tests involving tool routing, Bivia scored 0.91 against Jev's 0.84. Articul8 said Bivia is already producing savings for customers including Hitachi Energy, CTC, AZing and Megazone.
Articul8's Funding and Valuation Records
According to akta.pro company records, Articul8 completed a Series B in June 2026 at a $500 million pre-money valuation through a strategic investment and commercial partnership with a global industrial software leader. The same records list a $35 million Series B round led by Adara Ventures and total funding of $75 million. The company's platform connects to more than 25 enterprise and operational systems, per the launch announcement.
Earlier Articul8 Launches and Partnerships
In September 2026, Madras Sanskrit College and Articul8 AI launched the Laya Sanskrit Heritage Model and Platform, built on Sanskrit books and data, which is 17 times more token-efficient than general-purpose models, BusinessLine reported. In July 2026, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers partnered with Articul8 AI to launch a domain-specific generative AI model for engineering standards, according to AiThority. In August 2026, Aging Corporation of Minato-ku, Tokyo, entered a partnership to bring Articul8's domain-specific AI platform to the Japanese market, Third News reported.
Bivia's API Availability
Bivia is available through an API, either as a standalone offering or as part of Articul8's broader enterprise AI platform, the company said. Articul8 reported having filed 68 patent applications.
