Wood Partners, in partnership with Sarofim Realty Advisors, will break ground in November on Village Park, a 372-unit multifamily community in Charlotte's Highland Creek and Prosperity Church area, with J.P. Morgan providing financing. citybiz reported the project is slated to open in May 2028.
Village Park's Site Plan and Affordable Units
Wood Partners is a privately held national multifamily developer and general contractor headquartered in Atlanta that builds Class-A apartment communities under the Alta, Altera and related brands across 17 major U.S. markets, according to akta.pro company records.
Village Park sits at the corner of Prosperity Church and Benfield Roads, immediately next to Prosperity Village, a community Wood Partners previously developed. The site offers direct access to Interstate 485, and a Publix grocery store sits next door.
"We know this part of Charlotte well, and building next to Prosperity Village allows us to keep investing in the neighborhood," said Carter Siegel, Regional Director of Development at Wood Partners. "Residents will have I-485 at their doorstep, a grocery store they can walk to and a large park right on site. We're proud to be a part of this growing Charlotte neighborhood."
The community will include seven residential buildings and a standalone clubhouse and leasing center. The unit mix includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, along with six two-bedroom, two-bathroom carriage-house units. Five percent of the homes will be set aside as affordable housing for households earning up to 80% of the area median income.
Inside the clubhouse, residents will find a fitness center, coworking spaces and private offices, a coffee bar and a clubroom. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool with cabanas, a dog park and dog spa, a fire pit and grilling areas. A large park with a gazebo and seating anchors the community, and a pond overlook, landscaped green space and new sidewalks will connect residents to the surrounding neighborhood. Wood Partners is coordinating with Mecklenburg County and the Charlotte Department of Transportation on the site's infrastructure improvements.
