The team behind Simply Crafted, founded seven years ago, is led by Lucas and Amanda Stead in a strategic partnership with Joe Sinykin and Paul Menard.\n\n## Inside the Marvin's Garden Transition\n\nThe road to Marvin's Garden required a legal breakthrough. Minneapolis ordinances prohibit cannabis businesses from sharing interior space with other entities, and the founders secured a rare entrance variance to comply. According to the company, that architectural pivot makes Marvin's Garden the first in the city to navigate this specific hurdle, allowing a standalone retail experience in a multi-use area.\n\nThe storefront transitions to the new entity to allow for the sale of flower and vapes. Marvin's Garden will serve as the home for Simply Crafted and 612 Strains, the latter established three years ago. Shelves will feature the full evolution of these brands, from the original low-potency hemp offerings to new full-potency edibles and concentrates. The team continues its partnership with Loon Labs for both hemp-derived and full-cannabis manufacturing.\n\n\"We were there on Day One in 2023, and we've been here for seven years building trust,\" Lucas Stead, co-founder, said in the release. \"We knew we had to evolve to give our customers the flower and vapes they've been asking for.\"\n\n## Simply Crafted's Push Before the Launch\n\nIn May 2026, Simply Crafted secured a Minnesota LPHE wholesale license and an Importer Endorsement, enabling it to import out-of-state hemp products, EIN Presswire reported. That same month, Stead urged Minnesota lawmakers to adopt a federal \"opt-out\" to protect the state's $180 million hemp industry, according to EIN Presswire. On May 26, 2026, Stead warned Twin Cities landlords that the federal hemp ban under the 2026 Appropriations Act could trigger lease defaults, EIN Presswire reported, and urged landlords to negotiate with hemp tenants before November 12.\n\n## What Comes Next for Marvin's Garden\n\nThe release ties the storefront transition to the sale of high-demand flower and vapes. Stead's May 2026 warning set November 12 as the date when hemp inventory becomes federally illegal, per EIN Presswire.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
