Vertiv Closes King Environmental Services Deal
Vertiv is a global, NYSE-listed provider of critical power, thermal management, rack, and monitoring infrastructure for data centers, with a portfolio spanning UPS, liquid cooling, heat rejection, and AI factory digital twin solutions. King Environmental Services is a Europe-based specialist in fluid management, flushing, commissioning and operational validation for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
King Environmental Services was founded in 2002 and is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, serving customers across EMEA from hubs in North Dublin and Frankfurt. The company provides design review and feasibility studies, pipework flushing, filtration and water treatment, testing, adjusting and balancing, data logging and thermography, and large-scale thermal and electrical load testing.
"We are pleased to welcome the KES team to Vertiv," said Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Vertiv. "As computing density increases, the performance of cooling infrastructure depends not only on engineering and system design but on execution in the field."
The acquisition expands Vertiv's thermal management services capabilities into Europe, Middle East and Africa and builds on its 2025 PurgeRite acquisition, which established its North American fluid management presence. Vertiv said the combination gives customers a single accountable partner for commissioning, testing, fluid management and ongoing operations.
Vertiv's Earlier Thermal and AI Infrastructure Moves
Vertiv completed its acquisition of ThermoKey S.p.A. in June 2026, adding EMEA-based dry cooler, microchannel heat exchanger, and liquid cooling manufacturing capacity, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show Vertiv deepened its strategic co-development partnership with NVIDIA in June 2026, integrating SmartRun Digital Twin into NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint and co-developing an 800-volt DC power architecture for AI-focused data centers.
How the King Environmental Agreement Developed
Vertiv announced an agreement to acquire King Environmental Services on September 24, 2026, a deal expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 with financial terms undisclosed, PR Newswire reported. Larepublica reported on October 20, 2026 that the deal complements Vertiv's fluid management capabilities in North America with execution capacity in Europe and specialized experience in load testing.
