The convention, the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, brought together more than 23,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors from 98 countries. Costa Rica participated with an exhibition space for the sixth time. The delegation included ten companies spanning different parts of the aerospace value chain: Avionyx and Novacomp in software and hardware; Soltek and Olympic Precision Machining in precision machining; AASA in automation; All Jets and Global Technik Corporation in maintenance, repair and overhaul; Aerologística and Interconexiones Multimodales de Carga (IMDC) in ground handling services; and GJ Cargo and IMDC in logistics.

Laura López, CEO of the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Costa Rica, said the aerospace industry offers Costa Rican companies the chance to bring advanced manufacturing, engineering and technology capabilities into specialized international supply chains. "Our goal is to continue creating opportunities for more Costa Rican suppliers to enter this industry and move toward more sophisticated, higher value-added activities, while identifying investment opportunities that contribute to strengthening and developing the country's aerospace ecosystem," she said.

Esteban Carrillo, Executive Director of the Costa Rica Aerospace Cluster, said the cluster's participation reflects the evolution and diversification of the country's aerospace capabilities, including maintenance, repair, technical support and engineering solutions. Carrillo added that with Procomer's support, the participation helps foster strategic connections between Costa Rican companies and key industry players across international markets.

The companies had access to businesses involved in manufacturing, maintenance, parts and accessories, design, engineering and software. The exhibition featured commercial aircraft, private jets and eVTOL aircraft, which are powered by electricity and can take off and land vertically. Procomer said the participation formed part of its international promotion and foreign direct investment attraction strategy, which aims to position Costa Rica as a nearshoring destination for companies seeking manufacturing solutions and services for their supply chains and aviation operations.
