Anaam International Holding Group has been notified by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority that it may pay SAR 51.31 million in outstanding Zakat and withholding tax dues in monthly installments over 16 years, the company said in a statement to Tadawul. Argaam reported the approval on October 25, 2026.
How the ZATCA Installment Approval Works
Anaam International Holding Group is a Saudi publicly listed investment holding company based in Jeddah that owns operating subsidiaries and income-generating real estate across healthcare, logistics, industrial, entertainment and financial services, according to company records.
The installment arrangement follows terms and conditions set by ZATCA, and the company said the positive financial impact would be reflected in its financial results for Q3 2026.
The dues trace back to a ZATCA letter dated February 25, 2018, which demanded SAR 106.93 million in Zakat differences for the years 1995 to 2016. Anaam recorded a provision of SAR 18.37 million in its 2018 consolidated financial statements and an additional provision of SAR 88.55 million in 2019, bringing total provisions to SAR 109.93 million.
Anaam filed an objection with the authority on April 23, 2018, and received no response. The company filed a statement of claim with the General Secretariat of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Committees on November 17, 2019. On June 23, 2021, the First Circuit ruled to accept some items and reject others; ZATCA appealed the items accepted in Anaam's favor on July 14, 2021, and the group appealed the rejected items on July 22, 2021. The two sides then agreed to recalculate Zakat for the disputed years under the Executive Regulations for Zakat Collection.
Anaam's ZATCA Dues and Capital Position
On August 23, 2026, the outstanding dues were reduced to SAR 51.31 million, covering Zakat differences of SAR 106.93 million and withholding tax of SAR 138,940, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show Anaam's current share capital at SAR 105 million, represented by 10,500,000 shares of SAR 10 nominal value each, following a 600% capital increase from SAR 15 million in December 2020 and a reverse nominal value of shares in December 2024.
Earlier ZATCA Reductions and Masar Al-Ola Talks
Anaam reduced its outstanding ZATCA dues from SAR 245.87 million to SAR 51.31 million following regulatory approval, Argaam reported in August 2026. Sahmcapital reported the same month that the Zakat liability had been cut to SAR 51.3 million after negotiations with the authority.
In June 2026, Anaam signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to potentially acquire up to 51% of Masar Al-Ola Trading Company, owner of the Hashikom restaurant chain, through a share-for-share exchange, Argaam reported. AInvest reported in July 2026 that the non-binding MOU, signed on June 21, 2026, outlined the possibility of acquiring up to 51% of Masar Al-Ola's capital shares, contingent on financial valuation and due diligence.
What Follows the ZATCA Approval
Anaam said the positive financial impact of the installment approval will be reflected in its financial results for Q3 2026.
