White Mountaineering and Alpha Industries released a third collaboration of two hybrid jackets that blend military styles, dropping October 31 through White Mountaineering stores, the White Mountaineering online store and select stockists across Japan. Hypebeast reported the release.
How the Two Hybrid Jackets Are Built
The hybrid coat takes the N-3B as its foundation, keeping the longer, cold-weather proportions of the original while adding details drawn from both the MA-1 and the CWU-45P. Combining three distinct references in one garment gives the coat a familiar military feel without tying it to any single archival piece.
The hybrid flight jacket works the same idea in reverse. It keeps the shorter, instantly recognizable silhouette of the MA-1 and layers in details from the N-3B, bringing some of the parka's practicality into a more compact flight-jacket shape.
Both styles share the same technical foundation. Each is cut from a densely woven fabric treated with a water-repellent finish to handle wet conditions, while the interior is lined with WINDSTOPPER, a membrane that blocks wind while letting moisture escape. That pairing allows both jackets to protect against the elements without trapping heat and sweat inside.
Alpha Industries' Collaboration Record

Earlier Alpha Industries Releases
Alpha Industries launched its Fall/Winter 2026 RE collection in September 2026, applying a Battlewash surface treatment to military silhouettes like the CWU-45/P, N-2B and MA-1, stupidDOPE reported. The treatment gives garments a deliberately worn-in look, extending to fleece and sweatpants.
Alpha Industries and Old Forester launched a limited-edition Distiller's Jacket on September 2, 2026, built on the N-1 deck-jacket silhouette with a dark brown corduroy collar and garment-washed finish, stupidDOPE reported. Significant and Alpha Industries collaborated on the MA-1 bomber jacket, adding stripes, volume and reversible construction, with the collection launching October 8 online and October 9 in stores, stupidDOPE reported.
