Alinma Capital will hold a unitholder meeting on November 8, 2026 to vote on repurchasing 10.2 million units of Alinma Hospitality REIT, equal to 10% of the fund's issued units, Argaam reported. The fund manager said in a statement to Tadawul that its board believes the current unit price is below fair value.
Alinma Capital's Buyback Terms and Financing
The buyback would hold the repurchased units as treasury units for use in swaps to acquire new assets or for future sale. Alinma Capital said the fund would finance the purchase through its credit facilities and surplus cash flows, provided distributions are not affected.
The proposed resolutions include approving a program for the fund to buy back its own units for retention as treasury units, up to a maximum of 10.2 million units, and authorizing the fund manager to complete the purchase within 12 months from the date of the fund's relevant resolution. A second resolution would authorize the fund's board to decide in the future whether to change the buyback's purpose to cancel these units.
If unitholders approve the resolutions, the fund will execute the buyback through the market rather than via a private transaction. Alinma Capital also said treasury units the fund buys will carry no voting rights at unitholder meetings. The buyback will depend on market developments and the unit price, so the decision to purchase remains at the fund manager's discretion and is not mandatory.
Alinma Capital is the fund manager of Alinma Hospitality REIT, a Saudi real estate investment fund whose units trade on Tadawul. The fund manager announced on October 16, 2026 that the fund's board approved buying back 10.2 million of its own units, according to Argaam data.
