[The Times of India](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/kolkata/bengal-ties-up-with-adani-group-for-skill-training-jobs/articleshow/135192373.cms) reported the agreements.

## What the Adani Group Agreements Cover

Adhikari said the state has laid special emphasis on skill training so that youths are prepared for emerging employment opportunities. "We are entering into agreements with several key players like the Adani Group so that they offer skill training as per their requirement and then provide jobs," he said.

A senior official said the government is in the process of setting up several skill centres through the Adani Group in the state. The government is also working on handing over 51 state-run Industrial Training Institutes to private corporate groups to modernise infrastructure and align courses with industry requirements. The initiative is part of the Centre's PM Setu scheme, adopted by the state.

"The industry will frame the curriculum of these ITIs and will churn out skilled manpower as per their requirement," a Nabanna official said.

On industrial development, Adhikari promised a steady flow of new projects and welcomed private investment in healthcare and education. "Work for industrial development has already started at several places after completing bhoomi pujan. This will continue. We will do something every month. Large industrial groups are coming forward, with interest from both state-level and national-level players coming forward for investment," he said.

Adhikari also criticised the previous Trinamool government over the annual Bengal Global Business Summit, alleging that substantial public funds had been spent without commensurate results. "Everyone is welcome here, provided they are not frauds. During the previous govt, hundreds of crores of rupees were wasted on BGBS," he alleged.
