Ray-Ban's Impossible Frames Installation at the Grand Palais
Ray-Ban is an official partner of Art Basel Paris, which takes place at the newly renovated Grand Palais. The platform asks what is impossible, treating it as an attainable goal rather than a limit or a boundary, and rejects marketability and conventional logic in favor of creative freedom.
The company will host a tactile installation made of plasterboard, concrete and chrome, awash in neon light, aluminum and cable-wrapped brickwork. Ray-Ban described the concept in notes shared with Complex: "The impossible becomes a sanctuary where the mind thrives when it finally stops trying to conform; the threshold where true art is born."
Art Basel Paris 2026 is the fair's fifth edition and features more than 200 exhibitors, according to Art Basel records. Works displayed on October 22 included Ai Weiwei's "Five Camouflage Military-Style Jackets Arranged in a Circle and Sewn with Buttons," Andre Butzer's "Sein im Frieden" and Gerard Garouste's "La Duperie de Jacob."
