Pro Silver Star Ltd., which owns the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, filed for a temporary restraining order and temporary injunction against My Chemical Romance on October 23, 2026, over a staged shootout at the band's Hollywood Bowl concert. Yahoo reported the filing, which was obtained by the California Post.

The Cheerleader Uniform Dispute

My Chemical Romance staged "The Black Parade," a theatrical concert set in a fictional dictatorship featuring pyrotechnics and simulated gun battles, at the Hollywood Bowl on October 21, 2026. During the performance, female dancers dressed in blue and white uniforms similar to those of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders appeared onstage carrying rifles before being gunned down in a staged shootout, according to the lawsuit filed by attorney Alex Spiro.

"The costumed performers armed themselves with semi-automatic rifles and joined a staged firefight, and were then depicted being shot and crawling off the stage," the documents said. The papers claim the stunt fooled concertgoers and social media users into believing the performers were actual Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, sparking online posts that continue to circulate.

"Silver Star does not ask Defendants to change their setlist, narrative, politics, choreography, or even their decision to put gun-toting performers on stage. Silver Star asks only that those performers not wear the DCC Uniform while doing it," the documents said. "The universe of alternative costume designs is effectively unlimited," the filing continued.

The filing included a side-by-side comparison of an official cheerleader uniform and one worn during the concert, along with social media screenshots of fans who appeared to mistake the performers for real Cowboys cheerleaders. A cease-and-desist letter was sent to My Chemical Romance on October 22, 2026, and the petition says defendants continued anyway. The documents also mention the DCC uniform is federally registered.

Warner Chappell Music signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with My Chemical Romance, covering their entire catalog and future works, Music Business Worldwide reported on October 15, 2026. The agreement expands the band's relationship with Warner Music Group, which began in 2003.

My Chemical Romance's Hollywood Bowl Dates

My Chemical Romance has additional shows coming up at The Hollywood Bowl on October 23, October 24, October 30 and October 31, according to Yahoo. The 20th anniversary reissue of The Black Parade is due October 23.
