London Jewelers has unveiled a 20.26-carat D Flawless Old Mine Cushion cut diamond, cut from a 63-carat rough in Botswana, to mark its 100th anniversary. The retailer said the stone was produced with De Beers Group and Grandview Klein Diamonds. Yahoo reported the unveiling.

London Jewelers' Centennial Diamond

London Jewelers showed the diamond with Grandview Klein Diamonds at JCK Las Vegas in May. The final weight of 20.26 carats was chosen to commemorate the family's 100th milestone in 2026. The original rough was cut in its country of origin, Botswana, by Grandview Klein Diamonds as part of the Origin De Beers Group program.

"This is a natural fit," said Mark Udell, chief executive officer of London Jewelers. "De Beers Group has access to some of the world's most exceptional diamonds, and we've spent generations building trust with our clients by offering not only extraordinary diamonds, but a complete experience built on expertise, integrity and lasting relationships."

The De Beers Group program traces a natural diamond's journey from rough to polish with verified ownership. Its Origin digital experience uses blockchain technology to let clients follow the diamond from discovery to finished stone. The Old Mine Cushion style was developed in the 1700s and shaped by hand before modern technology existed.

"We are cutting a new diamond in an old style because we honor our past, but we are shaping the future," said Scott Udell, vice president of London Jewelers.
