Erewhon Plans NoHo Smoothie Bar and Cafe Inside Kith Boutique on Broadway

Erewhon is preparing to open a smoothie bar and cafe at 644 Broadway in New York's NoHo, taking over the PlantShed cafe and florist space inside a Kith women's boutique, the New York Post reported. The Los Angeles grocery chain is known for celebrity smoothie collaborations and premium produce.

Erewhon's NoHo Space Inside Kith

Chandler Forsythe, director of operations and community at the NoHo Business Improvement District, spotted an Erewhon canvas awning at the store on Thursday. "I stopped in my tracks," Forsythe said. "That's huge."

Forsythe said he heard from district property figures that the shop will be an Erewhon smoothie pop-up and cafe on a long-term lease, "with plans to be there permanently." Neither Kith nor Erewhon responded to the Post's inquiries for comment at the time of publication.

The move follows Erewhon's entry into New York in September 2025, when it opened a smoothie bar inside Kith Ivy, a private member's club with a $36,000 buy-in. The new address would make Erewhon a public New York hotspot for the first time.

Forsythe said Kith flipped the space immediately after PlantShed closed last month and began construction right away, with the windows quickly blocked out. He said NoHo residents have already discussed the lines the shop could bring. "I wouldn't be surprised if in the initial few weeks or even months, the wait for a smoothie would be an hour," he said.

Erewhon's Store Count and Partnerships

Erewhon is a premium organic grocery retailer operating 11 to 14 stores in affluent Southern California neighborhoods plus an NYC tonic bar, according to akta.pro company records. The same records list a revenue estimate of $250 million to $500 million and a valuation estimate of $250 million to $500 million, with Tony Antoci as CEO.

The company signed a multi-year flagship partnership with Swiss sportswear brand On in May 2026 for co-branded sneakers, apparel and a vitamin-loaded recovery juice. In April 2026 it partnered with LACMA to operate a cafe at the museum's new David Geffen Galleries.

Erewhon's Recent Expansion Moves

Erewhon opened its first store outside Los Angeles County in Thousand Oaks, California, on August 26, 2026, at The Lakes shopping center, its 14th location, Progressive Grocer reported. The New York Post reported the same month that the grocer then had 14 Southern California locations plus a smoothie bar at New York's Kith Ivy.

Erewhon became a permanent fixture at LACMA's David Geffen Galleries after operating as a pop-up since April, Yahoo reported in October 2026. The cafe was to offer a new smoothie resembling Alexander Calder's sculpture, with limited-edition merchandise.

Kith's Vancouver Store Opening

Kith is opening its first Vancouver store at Oakridge Park on October 23, its first Western Canadian location and second Canadian outpost after Toronto, EIN Presswire reported. The brand released a limited-edition Vancouver collection including a leather jacket priced at $1,825.
