Ellison Development Wins Community Entrance at 2026 PRISM Awards for William Trails

Ellison Development won Community Entrance at the 2026 Houston's Best PRISM Awards for its William Trails community in Willis, Texas, and earned four finalist honors, according to EIN Presswire. The Conroe-based residential developer's three Montgomery County communities, built by D.R. Horton, start in the high $130s.

Ellison Development's Developer of the Year nomination came in a field that included Houston's largest master-planned community developers. William Trails won Community Entrance, while McCrorey Trails in Conroe was a finalist in both Community Entrance and Best Community. Castle's Edge in Willis was a finalist in Community Entrance.

William Trails is a 104-acre community named in tribute to co-founder Bill (William) Ellison, with a new park opening by the end of 2026 and homes from the $150s. Castle's Edge is the most affordable new home community in the area, with a playground, covered picnic area and homes from the high $130s. McCrorey Trails sits about 15 minutes from I-45, with a park, playground, pickleball court and basketball court, and homes from the $170s.

All three communities are located in Montgomery County and zoned to Willis ISD. Homes are built by D.R. Horton, the nation's largest homebuilder by volume. Ellison Development and D.R. Horton team members celebrated the results together at the Casablanca-themed gala.

Ellison Development is a privately held horizontal land developer based in Conroe, Texas, founded in 2022, that designs and develops affordable residential communities across the Greater Houston area and sells finished lots primarily to D.R.
