BioVid launched BioVid Mimetics, a research platform that gives pharmaceutical teams synthetic physician audiences modeled on how those audiences reason and decide, the company said on October 23, 2026. The life science consultancy said the platform's respondent models show an 80% to 90% match with real physicians on content, reasoning and emotion. PR Newswire carried the announcement.
How BioVid Mimetics Models Physician Decisions
BioVid said its respondent models are grounded in its proprietary MindSet Modeling program, large-scale, multi-specialty surveys of practicing physicians that measure the mindsets shaping how they process information, make judgments and decide. The models are aligned with secondary data on clinical practice, which the company said moves beyond generic AI role-play to model the decision logic behind treatment choices.
BioVid said the platform is available off the shelf or tailored with a client's own primary research. It supports message and concept testing, positioning, drivers and barriers, segmentation and opportunity assessment. The company said mimetic fieldwork is complete in one to two weeks after receipt of required inputs, followed by a full report and readout from BioVid's research team.
"A synthetic respondent can sound right and still reason wrong. The real test is whether it reasons the way the audience does," said Marco Barcella, Executive Director, Product & Technology at BioVid. "Where the decision warrants, we run the same study with a human cohort and a mimetic cohort and compare the findings, the reasoning, and the mental and emotional responses directly."
Peggy Hirtle, CEO of BioVid, said: "Our goal was never simply faster or cheaper respondents. It was to reflect how physicians actually reason, with the same scientific rigor clients already trust from BioVid."
BioVid's Research Platform Offerings
According to akta.pro company records, BioVid launched the Oncology Center of Excellence in February 2026, a centralized hub consolidating oncology market research, market access and competitive intelligence, led by Meredith Jacobetz, PhD. The records show the company appointed Peggy Hirtle as Chief Executive Officer in June 2025, transitioning BioVid from a founder-led boutique consultancy to a professionally led growth-stage life sciences consultancy. In April 2025, CIAIRA won the 2025 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards, which the records describe as third-party validation of BioVid's proprietary AI architecture and brand credibility in enterprise pharma sales conversations.
AI Drug Discovery Moves Across The Sector
Anthropic expanded its healthcare footprint in 2026 with a HIPAA-compliant AI platform, cybersecurity tools and drug discovery programs, and invested $200 million in Gates Foundation grants, Beckershospitalreview reported on October 16, 2026. Google Antigravity, an agentic development platform, helps biologists discover and evaluate antimicrobial peptides by scanning UniProt with ProtNLM, Google DeepMind reported on October 15, 2026.
BioVid Mimetics Availability
BioVid said Mimetics is available off the shelf or tailored with a client's own research, segment profiles and CRM data, exclusive to that client and firewalled from all others. The company said the platform includes a Mimetic Segments App that client teams can question directly, share materials with and return to between research waves.
