[PR Newswire](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/yazan-al-homsi-invests-us500-000-in-toronto-drone-maker-arcanus-aerial-systems-302918414.html) carried the announcement on October 23, 2026. Other terms were not disclosed.\n\n## Al Homsi's Investment in Arcanus Aerial Systems\n\nAl Homsi is an investor only and holds no operational, advisory or board role with the company, according to the announcement. Arcanus is a Canadian-controlled company. It currently lists more than 15 platforms across heavy-lift, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, cargo, strike and counter-drone missions.\n\nAccording to the company, its published line-up includes the AB 516e, a long-endurance vertical take-off fixed-wing aircraft rated for three hours of flight; the AE 401, a counter-drone interceptor with a top speed of 300 km/h; and the AC 5250, a cargo platform with a 250 kg payload and a range of more than 2,300 km. Alongside defence, Arcanus markets its systems for wildfire detection, search and rescue, Arctic sovereignty, border and maritime patrol, and pipeline and power line monitoring.\n\n\"Canada has the engineering talent to build these systems at home, and recent years have shown how much depends on having that capacity domestically,\" Al Homsi said. \"What stood out to me about Arcanus was the manufacturing groundwork already in place: licensing, a production partner, and a range of aircraft that serves wildfire crews and search-and-rescue teams alongside defence customers.\"\n\n## Arcanus Aerial Systems' Funding and Production Records\n\nArcanus closed a US$25 million Series A financing in March 2026, upsized from an original US$12.5 million target due to demand from family offices and institutional investors, according to akta.pro [company records](https://akta.pro/company-data). The round included a US$3.15 million lead investment from a prominent family office. The same records list total funding of $3.2 million at the Series A stage, with the last round dated March 30, 2026, and a valuation estimate of $10 million to $50 million.\n\n| Figure | Detail |\n| --- | --- |\n| Series A round | US$25 million, upsized from US$12.5 million |\n| Lead investment | US$3.15 million from a prominent family office |\n| FeralX equity investment | C$1 million |\n\n## Earlier Arcanus Aerial Systems Agreements\n\nIn April 2026, Arcanus signed a binding term sheet with Portugal-based Beyond Vision, granting it rights to manufacture, commercialize and support Beyond Vision's unmanned aerial systems in Canada, Newswire reported. In June 2026, Arcanus announced a five-year agreement appointing FeralX Systems Inc. as a non-exclusive Canadian contract manufacturer for several of its platforms, Newswire reported.\n\nArcanus and NeuralDrones announced a five-year exclusive partnership in October 2026 to integrate Arcanus aircraft into NeuralDrones' PreFire and AfterFire wildfire detection and monitoring systems, Newswire reported.\n\n## Arcanus Aerial Systems' Planned U.S. Listing\n\nArcanus appointed Rahim Rajwani as interim CEO effective June 11, 2026, to lead preparations for a planned U.S. stock exchange listing, Newswire reported.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
