Replay Sports Cards will open its first Nashville-area location and sixth total card shop on October 24, 2026, at 5300 Centennial Blvd., Suite 202, owned by franchisee Richard "RJ" Cardente. PR Newswire carried the announcement on October 22, 2026. The shop brings the brand's buying, selling, trading and grading services to local collectors.
Cardente Brings a Collector's Background to Nashville
Cardente has collected sports cards for more than 20 years, and opening a shop of his own has long been a personal goal. He has a professional background in finance and project management. "I've wanted to do this for a long time, and I'm excited to finally make it happen," Cardente said. "I want to be part of something bigger than myself. My goal is to build a place where collectors feel welcome, families and kids can discover a passion for cards, and we can make a positive impact in the Nashville community."
The Nashville shop plans local events, trade nights, and opportunities to introduce families and young collectors to the hobby. Cardente also plans to support Replay Gives Back, the brand's charitable initiative focused on sharing the hobby with underserved youth, which has donated more than 3 million cards to youth organizations. "Nashville is a great market for the hobby, and RJ brings the passion and community-minded approach we look for in a franchise owner," said Brent Schepel, Co-Founder of Replay Sports Cards. Mike Martin, Co-Founder, said the company met Cardente last year. Mike Weinberger, Co-Founder and President of Franchising, said opening a new location is an important step in growing the Replay community.
Replay's Franchise Model and Store Count
Replay Sports Cards is a privately held retail franchise founded in 2021 in Charlotte, North Carolina, that buys, sells, trades and grades sports trading cards across physical shops and livestream platforms, according to akta.pro company records. The same records list Brent Schepel, Mike Martin and Mike Weinberger as co-founders, with Weinberger also serving as President of Franchising, and put headcount at 11-50 employees.
Replay's model combines in-store buying, selling, trading and grading with online sales and livestream commerce. The company's own franchise page describes the opportunity for prospective owners.
