Nuix launches Neo AI Agent that traces every answer to its source documents

Nuix launched the Nuix Neo AI Agent, an agentic AI tool built on its Neo Gen AI Framework, on October 21, 2026. The company said the agent answers plain-language questions, links each answer to its source and records the steps it takes. Nuix software analyses large volumes of unstructured data, such as emails and chats, for legal, regulatory, criminal and compliance matters.

How the Nuix Neo AI Agent Works

The AI Agent responds to natural language queries, reads and sifts through documents, images and other items, and finds and follows connections between people, accounts, communications and transactions, according to PR Newswire. It is aimed at enterprises, legal teams, auditors, regulators and law enforcement, who need to explain to courts and boards how results were reached.

The agent draws on over 20 tools in the Nuix Neo platform to work across entire Nuix Neo case inventories, with role-based access controls enforced. It integrates with the Nuix knowledge graph and can automatically generate queries, reducing the need for users to write graph queries by hand. Answers link back to their source documents, and investigators can export the full conversation, including the steps taken and findings.

Administrators can cap spend, track usage and set guardrails on prompts and responses. The agent leverages the Nuix Neo Gen AI Framework, which connects a customer's chosen supported LLM to the curated data intelligence layer delivered by the patented data processing engine in the Nuix Neo platform.

Nuix's Neo Platform Migration

According to akta.pro company records, Nuix launched and is executing a three-phase migration of customers to the Neo cloud-native platform, with Neo ACV reaching A$46.8M, up 148% year on year. The same records list a December 2025 agreement to acquire Linkurious, a Paris-based graph analytics vendor, in a deal valued at up to €20 million, or about A$35.4 million, expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2026.

Nuix announced its Nuix Neo Generative AI Framework, a governed orchestration layer for applying LLMs to enterprise data with auditability and guardrails, on October 14, 2026, ANTARA News reported. On September 4, 2026, Nuix announced general availability of its Generative AI capabilities in Nuix Discover SaaS, including document summaries, semantic search and clustering, with an AI Chat feature in Early Adopter release and general availability in December 2026, The Hindu reported.
