NAVCore Development announced on October 21, 2026 that Data Gatekeeper, a data change control and approval system for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is available in the Microsoft Marketplace. The company said the solution runs entirely within Business Central. PRLog published the announcement.
What Data Gatekeeper Does Inside Business Central
Data Gatekeeper delivers audit-compliant change logging for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, according to the company. It captures only meaningful changes, automatically restricts records, connects related changes across parent and child records, and provides an audit trail for reviews. The company said the product runs entirely within Business Central, with no external connectivity or Power Automate required.
The system builds on Business Central's native change log engine with a more selective scheme that cuts audit noise. Its capabilities include approver-linked data change approvals, snapshot logging, configurable field monitoring, selective undo, detailed approval notifications, and approval workflows for virtually any record. The Data Gatekeeper Workflow Wizard enables organizations to create approval workflows for practically any logged table without developer customization, and administrators can configure field-level, conditional events to add or remove restrictions, display messages or notifications, send email, prevent field changes, set field values, and take snapshots. A Data Gatekeeper FactBox and Data Trail let users review pending and committed changes in the context of the current Business Central record.
"Data Gatekeeper addresses several key challenges for Business Central organizations — from adding workflows to records that previously had none, to automatically restricting records when changes occur, to tying approvers directly to the changes they're approving," said Tony Phan of NAVCore Development. "By enhancing change logging, restrictions, approvals, workflow controls, and audit visibility inside Business Central, Data Gatekeeper gives organizations a more structured, transparent, and efficient way to manage and review data changes."
Cyril Belikoff, vice president, Microsoft Azure Product Marketing, said: "Microsoft Marketplace helps organizations and partners move faster, work smarter, and grow by connecting them with the right solutions—all in one trusted place. We're happy to welcome NAVCore Development solution to the growing Microsoft Marketplace ecosystem."
