The demonstration, held with a Final Review Meeting at Airbus, covered a structure for Airbus's next-generation single-aisle aircraft programme, according to [TradingView](https://www.tradingview.com/news/reuters.com,2026-10-22:newsml_PexFC3rMa:0-pta-news-montana-aerospace-montana-aerospace-advances-innovation-partnership-with-airbus-in-next-generation-aircraft-programme/).\n\n## Asco's Hybrid Fairing for Airbus\n\nThe project was launched in 2022 under a Collaborative Research Agreement between Airbus Airframe Propulsion in Toulouse and Asco, the company said. The collaboration covers the full development cycle, from concept design and structural sizing to the manufacture of two full-scale prototype assemblies in 2026.\n\nThe design combines Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic skins manufactured using Resin Transfer Moulding with aluminium and titanium structural interfaces, thermoplastic frames and injection-moulded thermoplastic components, the company said. Compared with legacy solutions, the new concept reduces structural weight through the targeted use of composite materials and lowers overall cost mainly by cutting installation time during final aircraft assembly, the company said.\n\nPaul Andreucci, Chief Commercial Officer of Montana Aerospace, said: \"This programme demonstrates the strategic value of research and innovation in continuously expanding the Group's technological capabilities.\" Jérôme Morhet, CEO of Asco, said: \"It shows that Asco can take a structure from concept to a validated, production-ready design in a genuinely new material combination.\"\n\n## Montana Aerospace's Aerospace Records\n\nMontana Aerospace is a Swiss-listed, vertically integrated manufacturer of complex structural components and assemblies for the aerospace industry, serving Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Tier-1 suppliers from 16 facilities in 10 countries, according to akta.pro [company records](https://akta.pro/company-data). The same records list FY 2025 net sales of EUR 979.3 million, a 15.1% year-on-year increase from EUR 851.0 million in 2024, and FY 2025 adjusted EBITDA of EUR 161.3 million, up 25.1% from EUR 129.0 million in 2024. The records give 2026 guidance for net sales over EUR 1 billion.\n\n## Earlier Montana Aerospace Moves\n\nIn July 2026, Asco Industries signed a long-term manufacturing agreement with Lockheed Martin at the Farnborough International Airshow to produce six high-precision structural components for each F-35 Lightning II aircraft, FinanzNachrichten.de reported. In June 2026, through the BeLightning consortium with SABCA and Sonaca, Asco completed and unveiled the first F-35A horizontal tail entirely manufactured in Belgium, according to company records. In September 2025, Montana Aerospace divested its Energy segment, completing its transformation into a pure-play aerospace company, the same records show.\n\n## Airbus Pylon Evaluation Next\n\nFollowing the Asco studies and full-scale demonstrations, Airbus plans to continue evaluating the concept at complete pylon level, including installation trials of the Asco demonstrator on a representative next-generation aircraft pylon structure, the company said.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
