HONGQI AVTODOM Vostok and Varshavka Present Updated H5 Sedan With 218-hp Engine

HONGQI AVTODOM Vostok and HONGQI AVTODOM Varshavka held a joint presentation of the updated HONGQI H5 sedan on October 22, 2026, at HONGQI AVTODOM Vostok, according to PRLog. Guests were among the first to evaluate the car, and the event included Chinese cultural activities and a buffet.

What the Updated H5 Offers

The updated H5 business sedan received improvements in appearance and equipment. The car is equipped with a turbocharged engine with a power output of 218 hp, an automatic transmission, an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a wide range of additional options. The multimedia system has a large 15.6-inch display, and the car also has a 360° surround-view system, a panoramic roof with UV protection and a set of active safety systems.

The event location was divided into several thematic zones, with the focus on the H5 presentation. Guests learned about the key features and positioning of the model. An atmospheric DJ set combined modern beats and Eastern motifs, and participants in a master class on the art of Chinese calligraphy could write hieroglyphs and learn their meaning. A photo zone offered accessories from an elegant fan to themed decorations, with a professional photographer on hand, and a tarot reader was available for those interested in esotericism. A buffet with light snacks and drinks closed the event.

The HONGQI HS5 crossover took part in a 9970-kilometer marathon from Vyborg to Vladivostok starting August 27, 2026, with Andrey Leontyev driving, according to PRLog. AVTODOM dealerships in Russia sold 687 HONGQI vehicles in May 2026, a 46% increase year-over-year, PRLog reported.
