Bonerge Lifescience announced BonFusion and BonVesio, two technology platforms for poorly water-soluble nutritional ingredients, and will introduce them at SupplySide Global 2026 in Las Vegas from October 28 to 30 at Booth 7911-2, Business Wire reported. The platforms target urolithin A, fisetin and S-equol.
How BonFusion and BonVesio Work
BonFusion evaluates the physicochemical properties and formulation challenges of individual ingredients to guide the selection and integration of complementary delivery technologies. For urolithin A and fisetin, the platform incorporates the ingredients into lipid-based submicron dispersions designed to improve aqueous dispersibility and dissolution performance. Target particle sizes are approximately 200-300 nm, with formulations being developed for capsules, tablets, sachets, oral liquids and beverages.
In a preclinical pharmacokinetic study, BonFusion water-dispersible urolithin A demonstrated threefold higher bioavailability than conventional urolithin A powder. BonVesio specializes in liposomal delivery systems and emphasizes the characterization of critical quality attributes. One application is BonVesio liposomal S-equol, a bioactive metabolite of the soy isoflavone daidzein that presents formulation challenges related to its limited aqueous solubility. The formulation features an encapsulation efficiency above 85%, with a particle size of 100-200 nm and a polydispersity index below 0.2.
"Delivery performance should be evaluated through measurable parameters and appropriate supporting data," said Orin Chou, R&D Director of Bonerge Lifescience. "Through BonFusion and BonVesio, we aim to give our partners a more systematic approach to formulation development, from selecting suitable delivery technologies to characterizing the resulting systems."
Bonerge invites supplement brands, formulators and ingredient buyers to visit Booth 7911-2 to explore the two platforms, review supporting formulation data and discuss opportunities for next-generation nutritional products.
Bonerge's Regulatory and Clinical Record
According to akta.pro company records, Bonerge Lifescience is a privately held B2B ingredient manufacturer producing proprietary branded nutraceutical and cosmeceutical actives, including fisetin, urolithin A, S-equol and dihydroberberine, for global supplement and cosmetic brand manufacturers, supported by ODM and CDMO services. The company was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Changsha, China, with a headcount range of 11-50, a revenue estimate of $10 million-$25 million and a valuation estimate of $10 million-$50 million.
The same records show EquoYouth S-Equol became the first SA-GRAS certified, 100% natural S-Equol in December 2025, securing U.S. regulatory positioning for the women's hormonal health ingredient. BeFisetin achieved Self-Affirmed GRAS status in the United States in April 2025, becoming the world's first all-natural fisetin ingredient with GRAS certification at >98% HPLC purity. In December 2024, Bonerge initiated a 108-participant clinical trial evaluating fisetin, urolithin A and ergothioneine for skin and organ rejuvenation, expected to conclude March 2026.
