Truss Vet Opens First Knoxville Veterinary Urgent Care Clinic With Same-Day Walk-In Care

Truss Vet opened its first Knoxville veterinary urgent care clinic on October 15, 2026, at 11011 Kingston Pike in Farragut, TN, offering same-day walk-in care for non-life-threatening conditions in dogs and cats. The company said the clinic charges 30-50% less than a typical emergency vet visit and operates 10am to 10pm Sunday through Friday, closed Saturdays. EIN Presswire published the announcement on October 21, 2026.

Truss Vet's First Clinic Outside the Carolinas

Truss Vet is an independent veterinary urgent care company founded to fill the gap between general practice veterinarians and emergency animal hospitals. Since opening its first clinic in Cary, North Carolina, the company has grown to serve communities across North Carolina and South Carolina. The Knoxville launch marks its expansion beyond the Carolinas and, according to the company, makes it Knoxville's first veterinary urgent care clinic.

The clinic treats non-life-threatening conditions such as vomiting, limping, ear infections, allergic reactions and minor injuries, with no referral needed. Pet owners can book a same-day reservation online, call, chat or walk in. The clinic includes a dedicated cat-only exam room and shares medical notes with local primary care vets and emergency hospitals within 24-48 hours.

"Our veterinary urgent care model fills a real gap for pet owners. It's a place to go when your pet is sick or hurting but your regular vet is booked, closed, or short-staffed," said Dr. Brad Waffa, Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Truss Vet. "By handling the cases that don't require an emergency room, we help reduce ER wait times so those teams can focus on truly life-threatening emergencies."

"We are so excited to join the Knoxville community. When we founded Truss Vet five years ago, we dreamed of entering vibrant cities like Knoxville," said CJ Casselli, Co-Founder & CEO of Truss Vet.
