Spur Expands Monocle Session Enrichment to Fastly and Amazon CloudFront

By ·

Key takeaways

  • Spur Monocle can now be deployed on Fastly and Amazon CloudFront in addition to Cloudflare.
  • Monocle enriches every user session with real-time trust signals including anonymization status and proxy service attribution.
  • New capabilities include AI traffic analysis in user sessions and a live health status for each Monocle app.

Spur Intelligence announced on October 21, 2026 that its Spur Monocle real-time session enrichment solution can now be deployed on Fastly and Amazon CloudFront in addition to Cloudflare. The GlobeNewswire release said security and fraud teams on those platforms can stop risky traffic at the edge using advanced session signals while keeping friction low for legitimate users.

How Spur Monocle Works on Fastly and CloudFront

Fraud and abuse often arrive through VPNs, residential proxies and other anonymizing networks that make malicious sessions look like ordinary users, according to the announcement. Without reliable context about where each session comes from, teams either enforce broadly and risk turning away real customers, or commit engineering resources to building and maintaining their own network and session detection logic.

Spur Monocle enriches every user session with real-time trust signals, including anonymization status, proxy service attribution, residential infrastructure and emerging attacker networks. Because Monocle runs at the edge, those signals arrive inside the infrastructure that already evaluates and routes application traffic. Setup takes only minutes and requires no changes to origin code, the company said.

"Intelligence only makes a difference when teams can put it into action," said Alastair Parr, CTO and COO of Spur. "Whether a team is enforcing trust decisions at the edge or investigating the infrastructure behind suspicious activity, we want Spur to fit the way they already work and give them confidence that it's working as expected."

Fastly expanded its partnership with Jio Platforms to offer enhanced JioCDN to businesses across India, Stock Titan reported on October 13, 2026.

AI Traffic Analysis and Integration Health Status

Monocle now shows which AI agents and crawlers are reaching an app, how much traffic each sends, its share and the change over time, according to the announcement. Customers can filter by AI operator and pair that with the Traffic Type filter for Crawler or Agentic traffic.

A live, color-coded health status labels each Monocle app as healthy, warning or inactive, and a banner appears if an app unexpectedly stops sending traffic. Teams no longer have to discover the issue later through missing data, the company said.

Spur's Cloudflare Integration and Earlier Launches

Spur Intelligence announced a no-code integration with Cloudflare within its Monocle Session Enrichment product in June 2026, enabling inline traffic enforcement for VPNs, residential proxies and mobile proxies without engineering resources, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show Spur published research in June 2026 scanning 6,038 apps across LG webOS and Samsung Tizen smart TV platforms, finding 34.1% contained residential proxy software.

In March 2026, Spur launched AI Service Identification and a real-time policy API on its IP intelligence platform, enabling organizations to make per-request allow or block decisions and distinguish AI infrastructure traffic, the same records show.

Leadership Changes Ahead of the Launch

Spur Intelligence named Brendan Evers CEO, expanded Alastair Parr's role to COO and made Kevin Hickey executive chairman, citybiz reported on October 1, 2026. The leadership changes come as organizations face growing use of VPNs and anonymization infrastructure.

Spur reported 45% year-over-year annual recurring revenue growth in Q3 2026, with a 48% customer base increase and 99% gross retention, citybiz reported on October 14, 2026. The company secured a $200 million investment from Insight Partners and named Brendan Evers CEO.
