Scaled Agile, Inc. was approved as a U.S. Department of War SkillBridge industry partner and launched the Government SAFe Practice Consultant SkillBridge Program, which offers two certifications at no cost during a service member's final 180 days of service. PR Newswire published the announcement on October 21, 2026.
Inside the Government SAFe SkillBridge Program
The hybrid program is based in Augusta, Georgia, near Fort Gordon, and runs up to 180 days. Participants train full-time with Scaled Agile, Inc. while continuing to receive military pay and benefits. They can earn two certifications at no cost: Government SAFe Agilist (Leading SAFe for Government) and Government SAFe Practice Consultant (AI-Empowered Implementing SAFe).
The SPC certification authorizes graduates to teach and certify others in SAFe and to lead SAFe and AI-Native SAFe implementations. The curriculum covers leading change in a government setting and Lean Budgeting under appropriation constraints, and prepares graduates to guide AI adoption across government programs. The program is open to service members from all branches and all MOS, ratings, and AFSCs, with no prior Agile experience required, though a PMP, PMI, or Lean Six Sigma background is encouraged. Remote participants are welcome, with priority given to applicants within 50 miles of Fort Gordon and the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia and South Carolina.
"From the first week, participants are doing real work with our advisory, sales and community teams," said Travis Moorer, MSG (USA Retired), Strategic Advisor at Scaled Agile. "Military experience translates naturally to SPC work. Our graduates will be ready on day one to coach teams, lead planning events, and help government organizations put AI to work responsibly."
Applications are open through December 3, 2026, and the first cohort begins in January 2027. Applicants can visit skillbridge.mil/locations and search "Scaled Agile."
Scaled Agile's AI-Native Push Into Government
According to akta.pro company records, Scaled Agile launched AI-Native SAFe in June 2026, a framework evolution introducing five innovations: smaller AI-augmented teams, shorter work cycles, defined human-AI handoffs, an AI Value Architect role, and AI governance and ethics features. The same records show the company launched the SAFe & AI Day Government conference at National Harbor, Maryland, in May 2026, and that more than 500 agencies already use SAFe.
Earlier Scaled Agile Launches

On July 16, 2026, the company launched a SAFe Credential Funding Program giving veterans and active duty military personnel a funded path to Agile certifications, according to PR Newswire.
First Cohort Start Date
The first Government SPC SkillBridge cohort begins in January 2027, with applications accepted through December 3, 2026.
