Residence, a global network of nine creative companies, announced on October 21, 2026 that every company in its network has earned B Corp Certification. The certification, verified by the nonprofit B Lab, covers social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. PR Newswire carried the announcement.

How the Nine Companies Completed the Assessment

All of the companies in Residence completed the assessment on their own operations. The process took multiple years and covered every part of every company, from salaries and benefits to client rosters, office energy use, and sustainability approaches. The network includes ACRONYM, BUCK, Creative Lives in Progress, GateMaker, Giant Ant, It's Nice That, OK COOL, Part and Sum, and wild.

B Lab's certification requires companies to meet defined performance requirements across seven impact topics: Purpose and Stakeholder Governance; Climate Action; Human Rights; Fair Work; Justice; Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; Environmental Stewardship and Circularity; and Government Affairs and Collective Action. Each company answered approximately 150 questions and provided documentation for every response for independent verification.

"We're proud of this in a way that's hard to overstate," said Madison Wharton, Chief Operating Officer of Residence. "As we like to say, 'Less talk, more rock.' So we wanted to solidify what we've always stated as important values to us."

João Campos, B Lab Growth Manager, said: "It's a genuinely impressive and uncommon achievement to see nine independent companies pursue B Corp Certification together."

B Lab's V2 standards, announced in July 2026, shifted certification from a points-based model to seven mandatory Impact Topics that companies must meet for certification or recertification, according to LBBOnline.

Residence's Growth and Reporting Record

According to akta.pro company records, Residence acquired GateMaker, a female-founded influencer marketing agency, in June 2026 as its eighth independent creative company, adding creator-economy capabilities and a 98% female remote team. The network was founded in 2022 by the team behind BUCK and is backed by a 2025 private equity round led by Gemspring Capital. Residence released its 2025 Impact Report in March 2026, covering community, people, client, and environmental initiatives. The company operates with more than 700 people across eight offices globally.

BUCK's Earlier Certification and Emissions Targets

BUCK, the largest company in the Residence network, achieved B Corp Certification in 2024. In 2025, Residence committed to emissions-reduction targets aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative. The network has partnered with purpose-driven clients including nonprofits, government agencies, other B Corps, and women-owned and underrepresented-led businesses.
