LEPAS, Chery Auto's premium NEV brand, said its L6 EV completed the first LEPAS Global Elegance Drive on October 19-20, 2026, a roughly 700-kilometer route from Shanghai to Wuhu with 34 Elegant Driving Ambassadors from 15 countries. The L6 EV's Route Through Tonglu and Shexian
The convoy left Shanghai for Qiandao Lake on day one, passing through Tonglu, Qiandao Lake and Shexian. The L6 EV's 540° panoramic view system helped drivers navigate city traffic, while ADAS features eased highway driving, according to the company. Participants tested Automated Parking Assist and Remote Parking Assist in tight spaces and the vehicle-to-load function in a camping setting.
Thomas Jervis, an Elegant Driving Ambassador from the UK's Auto Express, said: "The acceleration of the LEPAS L6 EV is very smooth, and its power delivery on straight roads and when merging onto highways is sufficient to meet my needs." Jervis also noted that the driving range was broadly in line with the officially stated figures.
On day two, winding mountain roads and changing gradients toward Wuhu highlighted the L6 EV's steering response, controlled body roll, smooth power delivery and braking. Jacobus Gert Hendrik Venter, an Elegant Driving Ambassador from South Africa's Navigating Media, said: "The interior really stands out to me. The materials feel refined, the build quality is impressive, and the Sony sound system is absolutely great. LEPAS has really nailed the sound experience." LEPAS said participants' feedback will help it better understand user needs across global markets.
LEPAS's Export Push and Dealer Network
According to akta.pro company records, LEPAS completed its first bulk export shipment of about 1,500 L8 PHEV units to six European countries and the Middle East in July 2026, moving from launch phase to scaled market entry.
