Keelings Releases 41 Acres at FoodCentral
Keelings is a 100% Irish-owned, third-generation family fresh produce company founded in 1926 that grows, sources and distributes fruit, vegetables, salads, flowers and plants to retailers, foodservice operators and wholesalers across more than 30 countries, according to akta.pro company records. The 280-acre FoodCentral park at St Margaret's is dedicated to food, drinks and flowers businesses and currently holds more than two million square feet of food-industry accommodation.
The available sites in the latest phase range from 2.95 acres to 28 acres, with permissible building sizes from 20,000sq ft to more than 300,000sq ft subject to planning permission. Prospective occupiers can choose design and build or lease options, and rental levels for completed buildings will depend on specification and building and plot size.
Nicholas Corson of Finnegan Menton said discussions were already under way with a number of parties in relation to the sale of sites and for the development of completed buildings within FoodCentral. A plot of 5.5 acres within the 41 acres now being marketed is already reserved and at legals.
Brendan Smyth of Cushman & Wakefield said: "FoodCentral is an excellent location for both processing and logistics. The scheme is close to Dublin Airport and the road network and offers prospective occupiers flexibility in regard to site size, scale and future expansion."
