Bathhouse opened its first location outside New York City, a 36,000 sq ft facility at The Bellevue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company said in a EIN Presswire announcement. The New York-based social wellness brand occupies part of the landmark building's former Tiffany and Co retail space in the Center City neighborhood.

Inside the Bellevue Bathhouse

The multi-level venue brings Bathhouse's communal bathing and contrast therapy model to Philadelphia, combining heated pools, saunas, steam and bodywork. Most of the experience sits in a brick-walled basement, with three indoor pools at different temperatures and three thermal rooms: an infrared sauna, a dry sauna and a banya. The facility also has a steamroom, and treatments are on offer.

The building is also home to The Bellevue Hotel, part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, residences and a 100,000 sq ft fitness club called The Sporting Club. A third-floor outdoor terrace is planned for early 2027, with an outdoor pool, a fourth sauna, lounge space and a concessions area.

Jason Goodman, co-founder of Bathhouse, said: "Expanding to Philadelphia was an incredible opportunity for us. We chose The Bellevue because it is central to the city's cultural and commercial heart and because of its stunning beauty." Firas Ghorab, GM of The Bellevue, said the partnership complements the property's existing wellness offering at The Sporting Club and supports its ambition to serve hotel guests and the wider Philadelphia community.

Bathhouse's Funding and Expansion Plans

Bathhouse is a Brooklyn-headquartered operator of social wellness bathhouses offering communal sauna, contrast therapy, massage and Hammam scrub services, according to company records. The company closed a $35 million round in May 2026 led by Imaginary Ventures with participation from Plus Capital and athlete investors including Klay Thompson, Marcus Smart and D.K. Metcalf, the same records show. Bathhouse expects to reach approximately $120 million in revenue by the end of 2026 and currently operates three New York City locations, in Williamsburg, Flatiron and Atlantic Avenue.

Earlier Bathhouse Openings and Events

Bathhouse opened its first location in Williamsburg, New York, in 2019 and has since expanded within the city, with additional sites in Flatiron and Atlantic Avenue. In May 2026 it opened its third New York City location at 540 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, a 32,000 sq ft facility with four pools, four indoor thermal rooms and 5,000 sq ft of outdoor space, according to akta.pro company records. In February 2026, Therme Group led the Culture of Bathe-ing festival, the largest sauna village ever staged in the US, with Bathhouse practitioners leading sessions, the same records show.

What Comes Next for Bathhouse

Future sites are planned for Berkeley Heights in New Jersey and Chicago, Illinois, the company said. A 45,000 sq ft wellness complex in Minneapolis's North Loop neighborhood, with a rooftop pool, three indoor pools, a 100-person sauna, steam room and massage services, is planned for 2027, according to akta.pro company records.
