## Key takeaways

- Azzera is developing an AI verification layer for its CELESTE platform that cross-checks operator flight data against EuroControl, NAV Canada and CRCO.
- The layer is testing with existing CELESTE clients ahead of a full rollout across more than fifty aircraft operators in Europe and North America.
- Azzera is receiving advisory services and funding from NRC IRAP for a research and development project on flight data verification and compliance reporting.

[Azzera](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/0000fgt/azzera) is developing an AI-powered verification layer for its CELESTE platform that cross-checks an operator's flight data against external sources including EuroControl, NAV Canada and CRCO, the Montréal-based aviation emissions compliance software provider said. The company said the layer is testing with existing CELESTE clients ahead of a full rollout across its base of more than fifty aircraft operators in Europe and North America, according to [EIN Presswire](https://www.einnews.com/pr_news/951335050/azzera-develops-ai-powered-flight-data-reporting-tool-through-a-safety-first-approach-to-ai-in-aviation-compliance).

## How the Azzera Verification Layer Works

The system identifies flights present in one system but missing from the other, and flags mismatches in flight level data between an operator's own records and independent sources. Where such a gap previously surfaced only during manual reconciliation or a verifier's review, the AI layer generates a plain-language explanation for why a discrepancy occurred.

"Operators do not find out about a data problem until the last minute, and by then it's an administrative nightmare to iterate through the datasets," said Puja Mahajan, CEO and Founder of Azzera. "We can't change when the external data sources become available. However, we can help operators respond when discrepancies surface late in the process."

Anant Jain, Chief Operating Officer at Azzera, said: "Every operator we work with is trying to reduce their time-to-audit; comparing data quickly and with confidence is the way to get there."

The verification layer runs inside a contained process built only to compare an operator's data against approved sources. Client data stays inside each operator's own CELESTE account, is never pooled across clients, and is never used to fine-tune, train or benchmark the model, a standard Azzera said applies across its platform, including its SAF POD beta program.

## Azzera's Funding and Platform Records

Azzera is receiving advisory services and funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program for a research and development project focused on flight data verification and compliance reporting, according to [akta.pro company records](https://akta.pro/company-data). The same records show JETEX invested USD $800,000 in Azzera in December 2025, concluding the company's capital raise, and that Azzera entered an R&D partnership with INSAT, managed by Strix, in April 2026 to validate SAF POD workflows. Azzera's CELESTE platform connects directly with flight planning and scheduling software including Leon Software, AIMS, SkyLegs and VMO via API integration, the records show.

## AI Assurance Launches Across the Sector

Anthropic announced on October 16, 2026 that its AI systems can independently evaluate other models with accuracy matching human specialists, [EIN Presswire](https://www.einnews.com/article/950164202/live) reported. IESE Solutions said on October 20, 2026 that its SQUID AI-assisted system assurance platform was assessed "Awardable" and listed on the CDAO's Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, [PR Newswire](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/iese-solutions-squid-assessed-awardable-on-cdaos-tradewinds-solutions-marketplace-302914570.html) reported. Nissan Technical Centre Europe is expanding its use of the Sonatus Fastlane Platform across pre-SOP validation, reducing vehicle software issue investigations from two weeks to two days, [FinancialContent Business Page](https://www.financialcontent.com/article/bizwire-2026-10-20-nissan-technical-centre-europe-adopts-sonatus-fastlane-platform-to-accelerate-vehicle-test-and-validation) reported on October 20, 2026.

## Azzera's Testing and Rollout Plans

The verification layer is now testing with existing CELESTE clients against its first set of external data sources, with coverage expanding over time. Azzera said the full rollout will follow across its operator base in Europe and North America. The company's [SAF POD beta program](https://azzera.com) applies the same data-handling standard.
