Key takeaways
- The Partner Companies acquired Advanced CNC Industries, a Temecula, California-based precision CNC machining and engineering company.
- The acquisition adds in-house CNC milling, turning, programming and engineering to Optiforms, TPC's Temecula-based optics business.
- Advanced CNC Industries founder David Swanson will remain with the company through the transition.
The Partner Companies acquired Advanced CNC Industries, Inc., a Temecula, California-based precision CNC machining and engineering company, the manufacturer announced on October 20, 2026. PR Newswire carried the announcement. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The Advanced CNC Industries Acquisition
The acquisition adds machining equipment and capabilities to meet demand for precision optical components, according to the announcement. Advanced CNC Industries was founded in 2023 by David Swanson and produces complex metals and plastics into large, machined parts using CNC machining and advanced programming techniques. Swanson will remain with the company through the transition.
The addition strengthens Optiforms, TPC's Temecula-based optics business, with in-house CNC milling, turning, programming and engineering solutions. TPC said these additions complement Optiforms' existing expertise and production, giving customers more integrated manufacturing solutions.
"Advanced CNC Industries has built something valuable, and we see an opportunity to build on that momentum while creating new possibilities across TPC," said Christian Streu, Chief Financial Officer of TPC.
Travis Wood, Group President of TPC, said bringing on Advanced CNC Industries' machining and engineering capabilities gives the Optiforms business more ways to solve customer manufacturing needs and greater production capacity. Swanson said Optiforms is a natural home for what the company has built.
The Partner Companies' Funding and Footprint
TPC raised more than $300 million in capital in November 2025, according to akta.pro company records, combining a $100 million-plus equity investment from Tensile Capital Management with a $200 million-plus syndicated credit facility led by Huntington Bank to fund acquisitions, facility expansion and equipment. The same records list a $37.3 million round led by Tensile Capital Management and a $200 million debt-funded round led by Huntington National Bank, both in November 2025. TPC's portfolio consists of 11 specialty manufacturers serving aerospace, defense, medical, technology, energy, telecom, and EV and auto industries.
Earlier Partner Companies Moves
In April 2026, TPC broke ground on an 80,000-square-foot Lattice Materials facility in Bozeman, Montana, scheduled for completion in 2027, to more than double the current footprint and establish the largest optical boule growth capacity in North America, according to akta.pro company records. In December 2025, Lattice Materials secured an $18.5 million Title III Defense Production Act award from the U.S. Department of War to expand domestic optical-grade germanium and silicon crystal growth capacity and add germanium recycling capabilities, the same records show. In August 2026, TPC appointed Angelo Randerson as Director of Environmental, Health & Safety, overseeing EHS programs across its manufacturing sites, PR Newswire reported.
