Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled a new rose-gold Master Ultra Thin Moon, a 36mm dress watch with a moonphase and date display, priced at $23,100. Yahoo reported the launch, which follows the brand's pattern of releasing a new Master Ultra Thin Moon each fall.
The Rose-Gold Master Ultra Thin Moon
The new timepiece, Ref. Q1242521, uses an 18-karat rose-gold case that measures 9.3mm thick, matching the 36mm size of its older sibling in a nod to 1950s round watches. The case carries the thin bezel and curved lugs of the Master Ultra Thin line, and the same rose-gold material appears on the silver sunray-brushed dial, where a combined date and moonphase display sits at 6 o'clock against a midnight-blue starry sky. Dauphine hands complete the dial, one satin-brushed and one polished.
Inside, the in-house Calibre 925 is a self-winding movement measuring 4.9mm thick, built at the Manufacture-Atelier in Switzerland's Vallée du Joux. It offers 70 hours of power reserve, a frequency of 4 Hz, and water resistance of around 160 feet, with Côtes de Genève finishes, blue screws, beveled bridges, and an open-worked 22-karat pink-gold winding rotor visible through a transparent sapphire-crystal caseback. The watch comes on a black alligator strap with a pink-gold buckle, and the strap can be interchanged with ease. Ref. Q1242521 is available now at Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques.
