Enapter Hands US Electrolyser Sales to Total Hydrogen Solutions in 24-Month Deal

By ·

Key takeaways

  • Enapter entered a non-exclusive US distribution agreement with Total Hydrogen Solutions through subsidiary Enapter S.r.l., with an initial term of 24 months.
  • THS will sell Enapter's complete electrolysers and continues to build its own systems on Enapter stacks as a Core Partner since the beginning of 2026.
  • Enapter's AEM electrolysers are in use at more than 360 customers in over 55 countries.

Enapter AG has reorganised its US sales through a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Total Hydrogen Solutions, the hydrogen division of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, LLC, signed via its subsidiary Enapter S.r.l. and running an initial 24 months. TradingView carried the announcement on October 20, 2026.

Enapter's US Sales Shift to Total Hydrogen Solutions

The agreement covers Enapter's entire electrolyser range, from single-core systems producing a few kilograms of hydrogen for small decentralised applications to multi-megawatt multicore plants for large industrial installations, and applies to the United States. It complements the existing Core Partnership under which THS integrates Enapter stacks as hydrogen-producing units into systems sold under the THS brand. As a distributor, THS will now also offer Enapter's ready-made electrolysers as complete systems.

Enapter said the non-exclusive structure gives it flexibility to keep selling directly and to raise US market penetration through additional distributors. Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company has specialised in high-pressure and fluid power technology since 1959 and operates on the US Gulf Coast with locations in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana, and Houston, Texas. THS already uses Enapter electrolysers in its own projects, including truck refuelling in Canada and converting CO2 into ethanol in Virginia.

Dr Jürgen Laakmann, CEO of Enapter AG, said: "We announced that we would reorganise our US sales, and we have delivered quickly." He added that extending the partnership to sales was "simply the next logical step." Bret Adams, Owner of Total Hydrogen Solutions, said the agreement combines "Enapter's proven electrolyzer technology with our engineering, manufacturing, and system integration capabilities."

Enapter's Earlier Core Partner Records

Enapter added Total Hydrogen Solutions as its fifth global Core Partner for the US market in March 2026, according to akta.pro company records, with multi-megawatt hydrogen applications targeting industrial and energy infrastructure customers. The same records show THS integrating Enapter's AEM stacks, reference designs and AI-powered CoreKraft digital platform into electrolyser systems sold under the THS brand. Enapter's records list 12,000 or more AEM stacks delivered worldwide, more than 375 clients served globally and projects in over 55 countries.

Enapter's US Orders Before the Agreement

On September 3, 2026, Enapter received a pilot order worth about EUR 500,000 from an unnamed US drone manufacturer for equipment to supply mobile hydrogen refuelling systems for hydrogen-powered drones, Renewablesnow reported. Hydrogeninsight reported the same day that the order covered an Enapter EL 4 modular AEM electrolyser, scheduled for delivery at the end of the financial year. On September 18, 2026, Enapter announced preliminary H1 2026 figures with revenue of EUR 10.8M and a EUR 17M write-down on its US distributor Clean H2, alongside a restructuring of its US sales that terminated the exclusive agreement and planned a new partnership, FinanzNachrichten.de reported.
