How UpToDate Answers Appear Inside Ask
Clinicians at health systems that use Doximity and Wolters Kluwer Health will see answers based on UpToDate's 13,000 topics and best practice guides in addition to Doximity's Ask answer. UpToDate draws on 7,600 expert clinicians, editors and peer reviewers who regularly review clinical, drug and patient content.
"Doctors know the value of a second opinion," said Jeff Tangney, CEO of Doximity. "With UpToDate available inside Doximity Ask, they can now get one instantly, from thousands of their peers, without leaving their workflow. Users can have both convenience and confidence."
Yaw Fellin, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Decision Support and Provider Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Health, said trust in clinical AI starts with the intelligence behind the answer. "Bringing that clinical intelligence into Doximity Ask gives clinicians access to trusted, cited answers within a workflow they already use at the point of care," Fellin said.
Nicholas Perkins, DO, MBA, Chief Clinical Analytics Officer at Prisma Health, said clinicians rely on trusted resources like UpToDate when evidence is scarce. "The ability to access it right within Doximity Ask has the potential to save doctors time so they can focus on helping patients," Perkins said.
Wolters Kluwer Health announced new software in August 2026 for insurance companies to speed and defend prior authorisation decisions, timed to the CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorisation Final Rule's 72-hour expedited and seven-day standard timelines, according to AInvest.
Doximity's Clinical AI Suite Scale
Doximity's network covers more than 80% of all U.S. physicians, and its Clinical AI Suite, including Ask, has been deployed across more than 165 health systems, including 10 of the nation's top 20 hospitals, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show 140 health systems purchased the Clinical AI Suite as of fiscal Q4 2026, and 250,000 prescribers accessed the Doximity platform and Clinical AI Suite per the Q4 FY2026 earnings call.
Doximity acquired Pathway Medical in August 2025, an AI clinical reference company that became the foundation for its Clinical AI Suite, Doximity Ask and PeerCheck physician-led AI review, the same records show.
Earlier Doximity Partnerships
Doximity extended its 13-year partnership with U.S. News & World Report in October 2026, continuing to supply data for the Doctor Finder and Patient Connect tools, according to PR Newswire. In September 2026, Doximity announced Bedside Bench, an open-source clinical AI benchmark, and its Ask tool ranked first against frontier models in Fireworks testing, according to Stock Titan.
Doximity announced an integration with Aledade in May 2026 to bring its HIPAA-compliant Clinical AI Suite into Aledade Assist, Aledade's EHR overlay for value-based-care settings, according to company records.
