Key takeaways

  • Syncrowin raised $3 million in a pre-seed round led by New York's Collide Capital.
  • Hustle Fund, POV Ventures, Co-Ventures and Ventari joined the round alongside angel investors.
  • The funding will expand Syncrowin's AI and engineering teams in Australia and San Francisco.

Australian industrial AI startup Syncrowin has raised $3 million in a pre-Seed round led by New York's Collide Capital to help factories and energy businesses reduce breakdowns, waste and production delays. Startup Daily reported the funding on October 19, 2026.

Syncrowin's Platform and Investor Line-Up

Hustle Fund, POV Ventures, Australia's Co-Ventures and Ventari participated in the round alongside angel investors. Collide Capital led the pre-Seed round, and Co-Ventures joined as one of the participating backers.

Syncrowin pulls together data from machinery, sensors, maintenance records and business software, then uses AI to identify problems and recommend fixes. The platform can combine readings such as temperature, pressure and vibration with maintenance logs, giving operators a clearer picture of where equipment is underperforming and what needs attention first. It can flag a pump that is slowing production and suggest replacing a filter, with the aim of helping operators keep equipment running and produce more with the assets they already own.

The funding will support further development and deployment across energy and manufacturing, as well as expanding its AI and engineering teams in Australia and San Francisco.

Cofounder and CEO Aisshwarya (Ash) Kansakaar said the opportunity was to improve infrastructure already in use. "The world is spending trillions planning new industrial capacity, but a significant portion of what we need already exists, it's just not running intelligently," she said. Kansakaar has overseen the largest pre-Seed round for a female founder in 2026, according to Startup Daily.

Her cofounder is chief technology officer Jaideep Upadhyay. The pair have engineering backgrounds spanning mechatronics, mechanical and industrial systems, and AI. "The last era of industry was defined by deploying physical assets at extraordinary scale. We believe the next will be defined by the intelligence layered across them and over time, that intelligence becomes as fundamental as the assets themselves," Upadhyay said.

Collide Capital managing partner Aaron Samuels said the experience the founders had swayed their investment. "Ash and Jai have spent their careers inside the industrial sites and plants they're now trying to transform, and that shows up in how they build. We're excited to lead this round," he said.

How Ubiqedge and IPercept Compare

Ubiqedge raised ₹10 Cr in seed funding to build an AIoT platform for industrial equipment monitoring, Inc42 reported on October 15, 2026. Its KLEON hardware and SAMASTH software help OEMs automate compliance, with over 100 customers and 30,000 devices deployed, and the startup plans global expansion starting with the Middle East.

Stockholm-based IPercept raised $16.5 million in a Series A round co-led by Isogon Ventures and 2150, Machine Maker reported on October 6, 2026. The funding will expand its US operations, hire sales teams, and develop add-on intelligence applications for its CNC machine monitoring technology.

Syncrowin's Pitch Competition Win and Program Selection

Syncrowin recently won the Initiate startup pitch competition at the DTECH energy conference in San Diego. It has also been selected for the Energy Labs Scale Up program and previously received support from the University of Melbourne's MAP Accelerator. Kansakaar, Victoria's 2025 Young Australian of the Year, grew up in Nepal, where unreliable electricity shaped her interest in infrastructure.
