Nest Health named Peter Morrison its first Chief Growth Officer on October 19, 2026, tasking him with leading the company's expansion into new states and deepening its health plan partnerships in Arizona and Louisiana. The New Orleans company announced the appointment in a statement, saying Morrison will oversee growth strategy and execution as Nest brings home-based care to more states. The announcement was distributed by PR Newswire.
Morrison's Medicaid Background and Nest Health's Growth Plans
Morrison has worked on both the health plan and care delivery sides of Medicaid, according to the company. He brings more than 15 years of experience across the Medicaid ecosystem, from health plans and state agencies to care delivery startups. Most recently, he was SVP of Strategy and Head of Growth at Pair Team, an AI-enabled medical group serving Medicaid and Medicare populations, where he led state expansions and payer growth through value-based contracts. Earlier, he held senior roles at UnitedHealthcare and Centene, advised state Medicaid agencies at Deloitte and served as Chief Strategy Officer at school-based care provider Goodside Health.
Nest Health serves more than 50,000 Medicaid members across Arizona and Louisiana. The company describes itself as the family's full primary care provider, caring for every family member from birth through adulthood in a single visit.
"Families don't experience healthcare one person at a time. A mom's blood pressure, her baby's checkup and her teenager's anxiety are connected, but the system splits them across separate doctors and separate charts. We built Nest so the household is the patient, and Peter is the right leader to bring that care to the families who need it next," said Dr. Rebekah Gee, Founder and CEO of Nest Health.
Morrison joins a leadership team Nest has expanded in recent months. Kelsie Brandt, MSN, RN, CPN, is Chief Operating Officer; she joined nearly four years ago and led the build of the whole-family care model, most recently as Chief Clinical Officer, and since becoming COO in April has focused on operations and systems. Chris Baglieri is VP of Product & Technology, Michelle Spinale is VP of Marketing & Communications, and Jessica Maslow is Head of People.
Nest Health's Funding and Payer Partnerships
Nest Health closed a Series A round exceeding $22.5 million in November 2025, led by Socium Ventures with Amboy Street Ventures, Impact America Fund, Hopelab, University Growth Fund and Luminary Impact Fund, with Socium taking a board seat, according to akta.pro company records. The same records list total funding of $41.5 million and four funding rounds on record. Nest Health's payer partnership with AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana has demonstrated a 2:1 return on investment and a 60% reduction in ER utilization, the records show.
Northern Arizona Rollout Underway
A staged rollout is underway across five Northern Arizona counties and will reach an estimated 20,000 rural Medicaid members, according to the company. Nest Health launched Nest Origin, an in-home prenatal and midwifery program for Medicaid beneficiaries in Louisiana, in February 2026, targeting 100 pregnant women in its first year and evaluated in partnership with University of Pennsylvania researchers.
