GoTyme Bank raised its year-end customer target to 12.5 million from 12 million, with monthly customer additions of 450,000 to 500,000, the digital bank's chief executive said. The Inquirer reported the new target, which the bank set as it approaches its year-end goal.
GoTyme's New Target and Monthly Additions
GoTyme CEO Nate Clarke said at the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines infrastructure forum that the bank currently has about 11.5 million customers. He said the bank expects to add more than 400,000 new customers per month over the next 12 to 18 months, driven by stronger brand recognition, broader product offerings, and the rollout of Apple Pay in August.
"There are now seven digital banks. We're contributing half of the new bank accounts opened every month. We are very hungry for new customers," Clarke said.
Clarke said the bank does not expect to bring forward its profitability target despite the faster pace of customer acquisition. "It's the cost to acquire new customers. In the short term, the operating expenses will increase as we add an extra 200,000 customers per month. But we're still targeting profitability next year," he said. He added that loan book growth and disbursements are helping.
Deposits have increased by about 80 percent year on year, and Clarke expects transactions to rise by about 100 percent by year-end. Monthly loan disbursements are expected to more than double to about P2 billion by year-end, up from around P1 billion per month previously. MoreTyme, the bank's universal credit line, is driving most of the lending growth, while payroll lending for small and medium enterprises is also growing. MoreTyme remains invitation-only, with about 1.2 million customers invited to access the product.
GoTyme's Funding and Scale Records
GoTyme Bank is a digital-first bank jointly owned by the Gokongwei and Tyme Groups, serving more than 20 million customers in the Philippines and South Africa through a mobile app and retail kiosks, according to akta.pro company records. The same records list total funding of $40.2 million, a July 2026 round of $13.9 million led by JG Summit Holdings and Tyme Investments, and a valuation estimate of $1 billion to $5 billion.
GoTyme's Earlier 2026 Milestones
GoTyme Bank reached 10 million users as of July 2026, just over three years after its launch, with customer deposits of more than P53 billion, the Inquirer reported. In August 2026, GoTyme Bank launched Apple Pay for its debit card customers on August 4, making it the first digital bank in the country to support the feature, Fintech News Philippines reported. GoTyme Bank also launched its app on Huawei AppGallery in August 2026, targeting about 7 million Huawei device users, according to Fintech News Philippines.
MoreTyme's Invitation Expansion
