Archax Adopts Chainlink Data Streams to Make $GOVY Treasury Token Usable as Collateral

By ·

Key takeaways

  • Archax adopted Chainlink Data Streams to support on-chain lending, collateral and treasury-management applications for its $GOVY tokenized US Treasury product.
  • $GOVY holds short-dated US Treasury Bills 1:1 in regulated custody, with Northern Trust as custodian for the underlying securities.
  • Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, said the integration connects Chainlink's data infrastructure with Archax's 1:1 custody model.

Archax, the UK/EU/US regulated digital asset platform, has adopted Chainlink Data Streams to support on-chain lending, collateral and treasury-management applications for $GOVY, its 24/7 auto-rolling tokenized US Treasury product. Finextra reported the adoption on October 19, 2026.

How Chainlink Data Streams Serves $GOVY

Archax said the integration provides the data needed to enable on-chain lending, collateral and treasury-management applications for banks, asset managers and DeFi users. $GOVY gives eligible investors direct, legally enforceable exposure to short-dated US Treasury Bills held 1:1 in regulated custody, with Northern Trust as custodian for the underlying securities. As each T-Bill matures, it is automatically replaced with an equivalent short-dated security.

The product supports transfers between eligible, whitelisted wallets, the option to take delivery of the underlying tokenized T-Bills, and 24/7/365 subscription and redemption using supported stablecoins. Archax said Chainlink Data Streams turns $GOVY into programmable collateral, letting institutions support secured lending and credit markets, calculate borrowing capacity and loan-to-value ratios, automate collateral management, inform margin requirements, and integrate the token into automated cash, liquidity and yield-management strategies.

Chainlink Labs hired Frank Seibold as head of banking and capital markets for the Americas in September 2026, according to Securitiesfinancetimes. Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, said: "We're excited to see Archax adopt Chainlink to make tokenized treasuries usable across the digital finance economy. By connecting Chainlink's market-leading data infrastructure and Archax's 1:1 custody model, $GOVY bypasses the friction of traditional Treasury products, enabling it to be adopted seamlessly across on-chain protocols as verifiable, yield-bearing collateral."

Nick Donovan, Chief Revenue Officer at Archax, said: "Institutions need more than a digital representation of an asset. They need regulated custody, clear legal rights, and dependable market data. Chainlink Data Streams provides the industry-standard pricing infrastructure needed to integrate $GOVY into sophisticated lending, collateral, and treasury management applications, turning it into a programmable asset that both banks and DeFi protocols can integrate at scale."

Archax's Tokenized Asset Platform

Archax lists more than 100 tokenized assets on its platform, according to akta.pro company records, with tokenized assets from 7 asset managers and more than $400 million in tokenized assets available. The same records show 8 funding rounds on file, including a $28.5 million Series A in November 2022 led by Aberdeen and a corporate-funded round in October 2025 led by tZERO.

Earlier Archax Tokenization Moves

Archax launched $GOVY in June 2026, a tokenized perpetual US Treasury Bill product backed 1:1 by short-dated T-Bills held in Northern Trust custody, Google reported. In June 2026, tZERO Group and Archax announced a partnership to distribute $GOVY to US qualified purchasers through tZERO's SEC-registered and FINRA-member broker-dealer ecosystem later that year, TradingView reported. Archax integrated with Aptos in September 2026 to move over 100 regulated tokenized securities and real-world assets onchain, with the MembersCap Tokenized Global Reinsurance Income Fund as the first product, Crypto Briefing reported.

US Broker-Dealer Registration

Archax Markets received FINRA approval to register as a US broker-dealer, with US operations expected in Q3 2026, FinancialContent Business Page reported. Through tZERO, it will offer digital asset securities custody, clearing, escrow and secondary trading.
