Natera will present 20 abstracts, including four rapid oral presentations, at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology Annual Congress in Madrid on October 23-26, the company said on October 18, 2026. The program features Signatera Genome with Phased and Structural Variants, which has achieved detection below 1 part per 10 million and an LOD95 of 1 part per million, according to Business Wire.

Natera's Signatera Genome Data at ESMO 2026

Natera, a cell-free DNA testing company, provides MRD oncology (Signatera), transplant rejection (Prospera), and reproductive health (Panorama) tests to clinicians, health systems, and biopharma partners, processing over 16 million cumulative tests across its CAP/CLIA-certified laboratories.

The ICONIC trial in gastroesophageal cancer (abstract 2901P) found that among patients treated with perioperative chemotherapy and immunotherapy, MRD clearance during neoadjuvant therapy was strongly associated with a lower risk of recurrence and a favorable pathologic response. Signatera Genome with Phased and Structural Variants detected all evaluable recurrences during surveillance, with a median lead time over standard imaging of more than 7.3 months.

In the phase III SAGITTARIUS trial in colon cancer (abstract 808P), post-operative patients were randomized to a physician-choice adjuvant treatment plan prior to receiving MRD results. The analysis showed that Signatera results influenced a change to providers' pre-planned treatment for one in three patients, of which 87% were treatment de-escalated based on MRD negativity.

"We are pleased to share data at ESMO that highlights our expanding diagnostics portfolio, which includes the newest version of our ultrasensitive Signatera Genome test," said Minetta Liu, M.D., chief medical officer, oncology and early cancer detection, Natera. "The incorporation of phased and structural variants results in the ability to detect ctDNA significantly below 1 part per 10 million and takes MRD sensitivity into a range we haven't seen before."

Natera's Scale in MRD Testing

According to akta.pro company records, Natera holds approximately 50% market share in MRD testing, with $2.5 billion in trailing revenue representing 36.6% year-over-year growth. The company's market capitalization stood at $31.4 billion in June 2026. Natera has 14 funding rounds on record, including a $250 million post-IPO equity round in September 2023.

Natera's Recent Signatera Milestones

In October 2026, Natera announced that its Signatera MRD test was named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2026 in the Medical & Healthcare category, according to Stock Titan. The test detects circulating tumor DNA and is used by over 55% of U.S. oncologists.

In June 2026, Natera secured Japan PMDA approval for Signatera MRD, opening the Japanese market through the SRL Inc. distribution partnership, according to akta.pro company records. Commercial launch is planned by year-end 2026 with SRL supporting commercialization and access expansion across the country.

Natera's ESMO Presentation Schedule

Natera's ESMO presentations begin October 23, 2026, with rapid oral sessions scheduled for October 23, 24, 25, and 26. The congress runs through October 26 in Madrid.
